What's The Best 380 ACP Handgun??? S&W Bodyguard 2.0 VS Sig P365 380 VS Ruger Security Lite Rack 380

I was thinking about the lcp max as my conceal carry but wanted to try the original Bodyguard. Is it worth it?

Why carry an underpowered .380 when you can carry a Sig 365 or Walther PPS in .9mm? Makes no sense to choose the .380.

I have a safety suggestion-when you show the gun on the range, you could practice holding it in your left hand when you show the gun.

It’s good you are getting a clear view of the gun, and I know you know it’s unloaded… but many of the people watching your videos don’t know the process you have. It would be great if you didn’t demonstrate pointing the gun behind the range.

At 71 yrs of age, the 380 is the choice for me.
Beretta has a fine model.

Of the three, which one in your opinion, had the smoothest slide and the easiest to rack slide?

I own the Shield EZ, the original tiny bodyguard & the Sig P365. The EZ was a no-go due to the grip safety, the old bodyguard is super tiny but awful to shoot. I adore my P365, shoots like a dream but a little heavy & harder to conceal on my tiny frame. I may just have to try the BG 2.0, thanks for your awesome review!! 💯👍😗

Yeah, ignore the market leader, clearly nobody ever chooses it. It's absence makes the rest of the video bogus. True it may be dethroned but it can't be ignored.

The Ruger security 380 should not even be in this comparison.They should have put in the Lcp max 380

The bodyguard is good but the S&W EZ is better i have one of each and the EZ is much better and EZ to shoot !!!!

I sold my ruger lcp, lcp 2, and g2c to get the bodyguard 2.0

Glock 42 is nice. With Pearce +1 extension and MagGuts you get 8+1 capacity.

One thing that bothers me is the Bodyguard 2.0 has this double ramp to the barrel which adds another snag point for ammo. Concerned about defense rounds (hornady critical defense) getting caught up when needed most.

The BG 2.0 wouldn't recoil as much if you had a proper grip..that tea cup grip causes a fulcrum. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I own the S&W EZ, but in 9mm. Like you, I found a dislike for the grip safety. If your grip isn't perfect, you could find yourself not depressing the safety correctly and the gun won't go BANG. I solved this problem by slipping a rubber grip sleeve over the grip. It adds just enough so that the safety gets depressed every time.

Bodyguard 2.0. Its my pocket carry backup to my g19 or my jogging gun.

The ez would be ok if it didnt have that horrible grip safety. If they wanted a grip safety they could've done it better. Id like the security if it wasnt internal hammer fired and i hate rugers fininish. Rugers blued models are horrible in humid climates. Even taking care of and cleaning they rust easier than any of these

You're wrong about the price of the security 380 I have seen both Cabela's and Bass Pro recently with them priced at $270 and the regular price right now appears to be 299

29-year LEO. Bought one for my back-up and off-duty carry. Don't believe the detractors on .380, I've seen plenty of people killed by them, and I don't mean mag dumps. At under 10yrds, where 90%+ shootings occur, it's as effective as 9mm. Doesn't have the velocity or make the wound channel, but gets the job done. I am completely confident carrying 23rds of .380 at Winn Dixie.

lol bodyguard 2.0 fail to feed every other round. You must not depend your life on it

Sig P365-380 for me. Mine has a Hogue grip on it which helps my larger hands and absorbs some recoil. Have almost 2,000 rounds through it, but only needed 100-200 to break it in. Flawless ever since with red dot or iron sights. Sweet shooter!

Thank you for the review...been looking at the Ruger for a while...Just want something my wife will be comfortable with...we are both getting up in age. My mistake was getting her a S&W M&P 9 shield plus for her first gun. Its my EDC I love it but, bad choice for her. Will try to get her comfortable with the Ruger at the range then....figure out a EDC for her (if she will) Later. Looking forward to more content.

Ruger Security 380 is great shooting as you mentioned... if it works. And in my experience it is poor: uneven feeding ramp, light magazine and recoil springs leading to FTF issues every 4 rds.

The fact that KelTec led the way into the true micro-compact locked breech .380 pistol 20 years ago to bring .380 out of the blowback realm is phenomenal. It's too bad it took so long to get a pistol like the Bodyguard 2.0, but I'm glad its here.

The wife has the Ruger security and I have the bodyguard. She’s little and I am big man that bodyguard in my hand and even better in my pocket..

I sold my LCP MAX and bought a bodyguard 2.0 , so far I am underwhelmed. The ergonomics are good and so are the sights but the magazines suck. I cannot get 12 rounds even with a load assist. The 10 round maxes at 8 and my hands are not weak. I contacted SW and was told a replacement magazine would be sent out but a week later it has not been shipped. No explanation except we are sorry. I hope I learn to love the gun but so far not so much

LOVE my P365-380! I've had it over a year and a half now. Just picked up some of the 12 round magazines. Glad to have that extra capacity

If I'm gonna get a gun as big as the Ruger and the siege, it's gonna be in a 9mm. I have the Bodyguard. 2.0. and I have 725 rounds through it. I love this gun. I don't know what this dude is talking about. It is not a snappy shooter. It is absolutely a soft shooting gun. Especially compared to one of my 9's. I would not have shot it over 700 times If I thought it was a snappy shooter.

Anyway, you slice it. All three of these pistols are very good and each Excel in specific areas based on need God bless America!

I agree, the original bodyguard was great for deep concealment but the trigger was horrible.

Was going to maybe get the Body Guard until you said the recoil is like a 9mm. Think I'll go with the Sig Sauer 365;

We have a Security-380 and LOVE IT. I am looking at the BG2.0 for my wife to carry. I am not a SIG fan.

Ruger Security Lite Rack 380 weights 2.25 Pounds!!! Way toooo heavy compared to the Bodyguard 2.0 only 10 oz!

My Glock 42 runs like a finely oiled machine. Why did it not make your list ?

I need a .380 because I work construction, and wear nothing but stretch jeans. I’m guaranteed not to carry any gun that doesn’t easily fit into my pocket, so a micro .380 is my best option. I love 10mm, but there ain’t no way I’m carrying all that, while being loaded down with tools, and climbing walls.

Chunky Boy = Ruger...that made me laff. Ruger has always built their revolvers like that too.

The Walther PPK and the Sig P238 are nice options are well.

I've got a Sig P365-380 and I was excited to own it except that I found the grip to be a bit small & thin. I tried a Hogue grip sleeve which helped, but I ended up splurging and getting a Wilson Combat grip frame which transformed it into a much better handling (and looking) pistol for me. Throw in my Underwood fluted rounds and I do not feel underpowered using it as my CCW. That said, with the Ruger Security 380 being a bit bigger and having a 15 rd mag, I'm definitely considering adding one to my home defense collection. Great video...keep up the good work!

Shot the 2.0 yesterday, it feels better than the LCP Max. Max feels poorly built and loose slide, but shoots accurately, 2.0 is easier to shoot accurately. I will say, the G25 is now available and you can run 16 rounds. Also the Beretta Cheetah is amazing. Really depends on where and or how you want to carry based on size.

On S&w bodyguard 2.0 which kind of action it have double action or single action ? Striker fired or hammer ?

My p365 9mm was perfect out the box ✌️🍺🇺🇸
