I was discerning weather to go with Coolray or ZS Alpha, but after the issue with Geely, and researching about ZS, I decided to go with a different brand. I'm more of a DIY guy, the way I see it, there is still scarcity with china car parts. Probably in few years time, when parts are no longer a challenge, I can have my first china car.

Got my Cherry Tiggo 5x Pro Hybrid mag 7 months na. No regrets since day 1.

As long as Chinese Car makers pass the criterion of the world standard giving bodies like EU, CE, ASTM, IEC. NCAP, ISO, SAE,ASME, ANSI and other WSC alliance, all products are equal. Please separate geopolitics from business.

Made in china nga parts ng Japanese cars, pero yun standard ng quality nila ay nandun parin.

I respect your effort. BUT the comparison between buying cars and shopping from platforms like Lazada or Shopee is flawed. Buying a car is a serious, long-term commitment that affects your finances, safety, and daily life for years. The quality and reliability of a car are much more critical than with everyday consumer products you might find on these platforms. While it's true that many products from Lazada or Shopee are sourced from China, those are typically low-cost, disposable items, not something as crucial as a car.

The point isn't about hating Chinese brands; it's about understanding the difference in stakes. A car represents a significant financial and personal investment, and its reliability is directly tied to the safety and performance you expect over time. The track record of Chinese cars hasn't yet instilled the same level of trust and reputation that buyers expect when making such a major purchase, which is why the comparison doesn't hold up.

Even in China, Japanese cars still hold a significant market share, today, you know why? because its a Japanese car.

I dont hate Chinese cars, its just that your argument is flawed.

In my opinion, the appeal of a car will ultimately depend on the preferences of Filipino buyers and car enthusiasts. I don’t blame the vlogger; it’s his way of marketing the product. I’m not against anything made in China, but I hope we can minimize the use of the term "Chinese car." By focusing on this term, we are marketing not just the products but also the country itself. Given the current tensions in the West Philippine Sea, we, as patriots, should consider using an alternative language. While it is true that the car is manufactured in China, we can find other ways to describe it without emphasizing its country of origin.

Got a new JAC S3 dito sa middle east. As an owner also of a japanese car specifically Mitsubishi, na compare ko ang performance at quality. Well d mo tlga ma i level sa Japanese car. Although my JAC has more features na pang luxury car na pero mura eh iba pa dn ang Japan car. Pero ok sya at nag eenjoy ako gamitin cya for daily use. Kaya kung gusto nyo ng chinese car just go and try it.
