Full written recipe of Moong Dal Ka Chilla

Ingredients:
1½ cups moong dal, soaked for 3-4 hours
1 medium onion, chopped
1 inch ginger, peeled and chopped
2-3 green chilies, chopped
Few sprigs of fresh coriander leaves, chopped
1 teaspoon red chili powder
½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder
A pinch of asafoetida
Salt to taste
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
Oil for cooking

Method:
1. Wash and soak dal for 3-4 hours.
2. Drain and grind the dal with a little water into a smooth batter. Remove in a big bowl and keep it aside.
3. Add red chili powder, roasted cumin powder, asafoetida, salt, and turmeric powder to the batter, and mix well.
4. Chop onion, ginger, green chilies, and fresh coriander leaves add to the batter and mix again.
5. Heat oil in a griddle or a cast iron pan and add a ladleful of batter, in the centre of the pan, and spread the batter with the back of the ladle.
6. Drizzle a few drops of oil around the edges of the chilla and cook for a few minutes. Till it is nicely golden brown in color. Cook on both sides evenly
7. Remove on a serving plate and serve with green chutney.
