The FARCE awakens...
ОтветитьEA will need to essentially completely rip apart the current progression system in this game, because the entire game has been made with microtransactions and pay-to-win in mind.
Your suggestions are all valid and good, but I have absolutely no reason or faith to believe that EA will spend the time, manpower, or money to fix these issues in a game that has been slammed by critic and gamers alike after they scuttled Visceral Games and screwed over many, many other developers. They will make meager platitudes and make some small offerings to try and appease the fans and critics of the game before washing their hands of it altogether. This is their MO and has been for some time.
I dont want it to be fixed. I want it to fail miserably.
I feel sorry for DICE, but the money SWBF2 earns is going to fall into EA's greedy hands and that we cannot admit.
Only if the game was sold by another publisher would I consider giving it a chance.
I will not touch the game as long as it has lootboxes. EA already admited that the lost of lootboxes will not hurt their profit. The game is going go black with out lootboxes. With out paid DLC and with out all scummy business models.
Second I am not going touch the game if it does not have galactic conquest and their needs to be servers of First person only. Bring it back to it roots of the original Battlefront quest. Not this third person crap.
Basically:
"You see this, EA? <points on ORIGINAL Battlefront 2> DO THAT!"
Still, for me, I dont see any hope for Battlefront EA 2, I am not buying this. Even if they polish everything, remove p2w aspects of the game. No. It is like a cake that chef sticked his dick into it. Yeah, it may be very nice looking and tasty cake, but I wont eat it becouse HE STUCKED HIS DICK INTO IT!
Just CTRL+S
Ответитьneeds more game modes 5 is not enough.bring back hero hunt had many hours of fun playing that on battlefront 2015
Ответитьthey don't deserve the money from these sales. abandon this game
Ответитьno Lootfront 2 needs to fail spectacular so EA gets the message that this greedy behavior is unacceptable.
You will get another Star Wars shooter sooner or later (from EA or Disney as a publisher)
I believe it CAN be fixed, but I don't think it will be. EA only sees dollar signs when they should be seeing warning signs....
ОтветитьEA has shown their true colors for years now, but I'm glad that their predatory business practices are finally being called out. Pity it had to be a Star Wars game to do it, but being that they killed most of the older franchises that I loved growing up (their killing off SimCity was my last straw - never purchased it, but seeing what they did to that particular game was the sign I needed to drop everything they sell from that point forward), I honestly wouldn't mind seeing some form of gambling classification placed on the way EA (and other publishers/developers) is not only using lootboxes, but their methods for encouraging others to drop additional cash to buy more of them.
EDIT: EA's recent comments have shown that they have no intention on truly making the changes needed to make BF2 a great, FAIR game. They've tasted the money from those dumping cash on starcards - they will not roll that back, barring consumers deciding to not purchase the game (or any of their games with similar P2W elements) such that it hurts their bottom line.
The video gaming industry has essentially failed in governing itself - it's time for proper regulations to be enacted for the sake of all consumers.
Maybeee....
Galactic Conquest??? :)
To bad that they want to force those loot boxes so they can make you buy more, greedy idiots
ОтветитьA New Nope.
ОтветитьNo compromises this time. EA burns if they don't learn.
Publishers are like bushes. If you let them get out of control they get ugly.
But you trim them down when they get too big. Personally I wouldn't miss EA.
How to save this game, pro tip:
Throw it in the bin.
Buy the original Battlefront 2.
It wasn't a disappointment people are just being bitching babies about change. I would go in detail why EA needed the P2W. However I will let someone else waste there time with people who think they are star wars fans but they aren't because if they where true star wars fans guess what you wouldn't care. However seen as though the human race have become soft and weak over the years we have also lost our way and become picky with everything we do. I have to admit I am picky with food but SERIOUSLY being picky about something in a STAR WARS game is quiet depressingly pethatic. There we go there is my rant to all the babies on the internet.
ОтветитьA should be in quotes as well
ОтветитьBF2 doesn't deserve hope. EA needs to learn the pain that's coming to them.
Ответитьits better for battlefront2 to die, to make an example for EA.
Ответитьthe game must die!
ОтветитьLet EA Burn
EA will continue to let us down time and time again because we mean nothing to them. the best solution to that Disney tells them to get their greassy tendrils off their franchise, so someone else can take up the baton.
Personally I think people should plain up stop buying anything made by EA and over the course of the next few years we will gradully starve this cancer out.
CAN YOU JUST GATHER EVERYONE AT EA AND PLAY THIS VIDEO FOR WHEN THEY SAY ITS SO HARD DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO HURR DURR.
ОтветитьA lot of the points you make already exists in their battlefield franchise. Don't know why it was not implemented here. This could have been Star Wars Battlefield and it could have been great
ОтветитьHere's the biggest problem: galatic assault is treated like a deathmatch and hero team deathmatch is treated like an objective game (targets selected instead of free for all). EA official, "we can't just take one thing from another game and put it in" complete BS. That's why there is no Conquest or Team Deathmatch; they don't want to steal from Battlefield.
ОтветитьTo be fair, battlefront 2 has very best graphic, i enjoy playing it, i hope they will fix it
ОтветитьHow about No. Don't give your money to EA after something like this ffs.
ОтветитьWhile yes, i do agree with you in that the game CAN be fixed. But since this is EA it probably wont be.
ОтветитьJust let it die. We need to bury this game and move on. Perhaps try again with someone who is not EA.
ОтветитьReworking the entire progression system to fix the game is simply not freezable at this moment. EA would need to take game designers that have moved on to a different project to design a new one. They'd need to get UI artists from another project. They would need to use programmers that are doing something else.
Fixing it would also take a couple of months just to make sure that the game is still stable and can pass Microsoft and Sony submissions.
All this effort to try fixing a game that has been bashed into the ground and will not be a "trending" product by the time the fix comes out.
From a financial point of view, making a new game and letting this one die would probably work better for their pockets.
How to fix battlefront, according to this video: make it battlefield instead.
ОтветитьSome really awesome ideas. It's too bad that EA will never implement them
ОтветитьId like to see gambling in video games for children outlawed. The entire mobile industry is predatory and I'm hoping fallback from this will affect that as well.
Ответитьcan be fixed except the only I disagree with, is that it would be an amazing game if fixed, not just good. Im getting it for Christmas and I hope EA will just listen for once
ОтветитьEA killed Battlefront and Disney killed Star Wars! :(
ОтветитьThey're adding customization for troopers. More heroes and that's about it
ОтветитьI love this game now. Its fine. Flawed, but fine.
Ответитьi agree, only other thing is, that the cash people already spent on the game should be given back either refunded or in game credits, if we do infact remove the current broken loot box system.
ОтветитьI think that it should just be a remaster of Pandemic's Battlefront II
Ответить"And in time, A New Hope will emerge."
ОтветитьMost of the comments are just haters .. s+ck it guys I still want to enjoy a great Star Wars Game so safe it instead of kill it of 👍
ОтветитьMORE GAME MODES
ОтветитьYeah I was in love with the beauty of the game at first but then that wore off. HUGE disappointment. Still waiting for the day that we get a game like Star Wars Battlefront Rougue Squadron. Where you could get in and out of vehicles that were at spawn points. You could fly into space from the planet, fight in space, get inside a bigger ship, sabotage it, and then take an escape pod back down to the planet or even just fly back down. So much more freedom and it required skill.
ОтветитьWhy is it always the gamers (i.e the "customers") that have to settle to the idea of being treated like crap by the publishers? I've never seen another example where the consumers of a product are treated so badly like gamers are. Why is there always a battle between publishers and gamers? Because they would otherwise completely destroy the industry that we have known for ages and love.
Rewind the clock back 10 years ago, then, there were no day 1 dlc, no season pass, no payed loot-box systems and/or shady throttling of XP etc. The ONLY reason for why these practices have become more common and more intrusive in games is because we continue to purchase games that takes advantage of them. They serve no other purpose than to make the publisher more money, whilst creating a lesser and more unfair, experience for us, the gamers.
So with that being said, I'm done meeting these money-grabbing fuckers halfway. There are simply to many games that I have been excited for that have been ruined because of these practises. I don't find gaming as fun as I once did, so in my opinion, I would be glad if this game died as quickly as possible, however, let us never forget it.
I understand where you're coming from with the pay to win, but I personally don't agree with you wanting to eliminate star card levels and getting star cards from loot boxes. I understand this may incentivise pay to win, but if those star card levels are removed what are the reprocussions of people, like myself who have many star cards at level 4 I would also like to point out I currently have every star card in the game at least to level 2 without spending any money. I understand that most people don't want to grind out 500+ hours, or simply don't have the time to do so, but eliminating those levels would make my time absolutely worthless even if I am refunded my scrap and credits. And also it would be quite difficult to change the progression system this late after release. I also know for certain a good deal of Bf2 fans don't want to see cosmetic items in loot boxes such as in overwatch. This is because Battlefront games try to keep an at least semi-serious playing field. I know you don't nessicarily want a pink Vader but I would protest against anything too extreme but if it was kept to small things like you described it would be perfectly fine and add an extra layer of humanity from the game. But if two many new and distracting skins are added, for me and for many others it would ruin the imersion provided by BF2. Sorry for the lengthy comment but I just wanted to voice my opinion. Please reply if you agree or you want to elaborate on the changes you would propose that would affect the previously stated points. Thanks
ОтветитьIm sorry, but I worked hard for my cards... too late buddy
ОтветитьMy boys. And girls. Drop the hot comment below on the fixes you'd like to see with Battlefront II.
