Your honesty is much appreciated. Having interest in the hobby with plans to purchase in the near future, it is good to have someone such as yourself give information as to what's expected. Considering these things will come with defects right off the lot, and dealers not standing behind anything they sell, it has steered me to buying used first. Thanks again & great video!

I do not own an RV, but I have looked at them and thought of getting one. My girlfriend just bought one 2013 and she paid a lot of money but it’s got a lot of good things itself. I guess a class B meaning she can drive it. thank you for your honest sincere and, informative video I hung in on the whole thing.

I tow my 2022 G19fbs with a 2019 Ford Ranger with factory tow package. I have never had one issue with my Geo Pro. I love it. I ordered mine the way I wanted it rather than buying off the dealer's lot. I also use a local family owned dealer and they are great. They even check with me from time to time to make sure everythng is o.k.and I am still happy with my purchase. I watched your whole video and the only thing I could think is why in the world did you buy the trailer and why are you keeping it if it is such junk.

We've been traveling with this unit for a year so far, and except for a leaking fawcett, the rest of the equipment work wonderful. We are very happy with it. But we understand it has its flaws or not some very good materials, but given its price its ok for us. Thanks for your in depth review, it was important in our decision to buy it. Best.

Sounds like you didn't do you research on the best camper to get. Most of the stuff you are negative about were there when you bought it. ie stairs, dinette situation, no rear hitch etc. Why did you buy the trailer if there are this many negatives????

Hi, I have looked at a number of travel trailers and have owned two in the past as in decades ago. One was an Avon. The other was a 23 foot terry. It weighed 4700 pounds loaded with gear less water. (Water was carried in the front and virtually all of that weight went on the tongue and rear bumper.

My interest is in the smaller single axe trailers. Other than the Happier Camper HC1 Breeze, models like the Colman 17B or 17R which are minimum content light weight stick and tin trailers are what I go for. Except for the azdel walls and construction, I am of the opinion that the newer 24 model year entry level trailers are the best value for your money. And for the most part, they are assembled using most of the same parts as the higher content more expensive models.

Keep it simple. A box with a comfortable bed, roomy toilet/shower, small cook top, microwave, refrigerator and lounge chair/sofa with a floating table and your golden.

What the F. Really the stairs. The best stairs ever made. I totally disagree. It takes two sweeps of a broom to fix that. Plus the steps are so sturdy. My parents in their 80s can use it their so sturdy. WTF.

It’s not just the way RV’s “ are “ . .
It’s the way RV’s are NOW . . during post Covid and the “ Build Back Better “ administration that has decimated quality and skyrocketed prices . Damn shame

If a company spends what’s required to make a truly high-quality camper trailer, such as Airstream did with the Nest, nearly every comment is about how ridiculously overpriced it is compared to the “competition.”

No thanks.... keep all of them. I want to boondock but I also want to go into New York City or San Diego, etc for a few weeks at a time and stealth camp. At the same time I demand reliability. My choice? A Toyota Hybrid Minivan. Remove all seats except the drivers seat. It can be had in all wheel drive and I will have it lifted 3" and with bigger and better tires. The other item on my agenda is a Springbar top of the line 10 x 14 ft canvas tent. With the hybrid minivan I can set the temperature to whatever I want. Even if I'm in the boondocks. You can't do that with a trailer unless you have a ton of solar but if you have all that solar, do it with the canvas tent. Now you not camping you are glamping. In colder temps set up the Springbar with a wood burning stove or go into the hybrid mini and set that temp for whatever you want. I will have flexibility with the weather and flexibility of choosing where I will go next. City or dessert or mountaintop or the beach. There's one other thing that will be on my list. I can set up the minivan for towing on the light side with a small 6 x 8 Runaway that will carry everything that will be needed for the tent and also it gives me access to RV campgrounds should that be my choice. When going into a town or city to stealth camp, I will park the Roadrunner with it's stuff at the nearest RV campground. Springbar canvas tents last forever. Toyotas last forever. Keep your RV''s.

Amazing review my friend, first time RV purchaser and so glad you have enlightened me on the issues the RV industry has as a general rule. I'm completely in awe that at least one manufacturer has not broken the status quo and started to build trailers with +- $300 worth of accessories that are of high quality and better builds. Might be looking on the lightly used market so I can replace some of the "crap" and not blow my budget. Thanks.

Ответить
@67L48
@67L48 - 10.10.2024 22:13

Yep. Even the "nice" trailers are made so poorly that you can watch them fall apart in real time as you own them. It's all of the little things -- screws that are stripped out, mis-aligned hinges/rails, caulk that leaks, fabrics/upholstery so thin that you can see through them, panels that quickly rattle and loosen, and so on. They're really only meant to last about 7 years with 2-5 outings per year. More than that and you're going to be rebuilding the trailer and replacing the appliances.

This man is honest. 25 years of camper life. Had many. I paid 60 thousand dollars for the last one lacrosse . All are junk, and the warranty is a joke. It's sad. I dont mind paying a lot, but give me something that is going to not have leaking roofs and soft floors after 2 years. It's been 8 years now since i bought my house. I dont see myself ever fighting all that again especially when you are in the middle of nowhere with no cell service and something major happens.

Did you tow it with the Gladiator? If so, how did it do? Mine with the lesser tow package has a 6K max tow and I have 1000 lbs payload. It also appears that you did tow the Lance with the Gladiator? If so, how did that do? I appreciate your transparency and honesty. I've know exactly what you are talking about. I KNOW what I'm getting into when I buy an American manufactured travel trailer/RV of any sort. Honestly, if a person has zero capability to work on a vehicle and if it breaks NO idea what is going on. Unless you got deep pockets, patience with dealers and time on your hands, I'd seriously think about how badly you want to camp. Rent one...
