Onion skins make great dye colors. Recipes are easy though all directed for cloth. Just save the dry skins in a jar till you have enough!

Clare and I just made some homemade playDoh this past week. Love it. I used washable paint to color it as I didn’t have food coloring and it came out great. The colors were more of a pastel color but my fingers were not left with food coloring stains!🎉

Playdough is such fun to make and play with. When I was teaching I would use this recipe but add the boiling water and oil to the flour mixture. Try adding scents to enhance the sensory experience spices or essential oils.

Since it's made of food ingredients, how long does it last before it starts to rot?

Mix all dry ingredients first then add all dry ingredients to the boiling water and oil. Add food coloring, squish it around to cool and mix color.

Here are the measurements!! 💗
2 cups flour.
1/2 cup salt.
2 tablespoons cream of tartar.
2 tablespoons oil.
2 cups boiling water.
1 teaspoon food colouring.
