AD at A&T needs to go
ОтветитьHow much will it cost A&T and Hampton to leave the CAA?
ОтветитьLook at GAWD… I’m so ready to leave the suburbs!!! and get BACK TO Da’BLOCK!!!!
ОтветитьNow is the time Tenn State and Savannah State to also join
ОтветитьIf So, Welcome Back to the M*E*A*C.
Ответить90% of every one I talked to in the Reserved Seat Sections for the past 3 yrs, hated we left the MEAC. We missed the Fellowship/Junk Talking with the other HBCUs. We miss the Bands and we miss the Celebration Bowl. We are still angry about how Coach Sam Washington was let go. The Fans and Student Body and Former Players hated how we left. AD Earl is stubborn about admitting him in the former Chancellor made a mistake. People are not enthused about this new conference. I think the new Chancellor is more open about going back.
ОтветитьThis needs to happen ASAP!
ОтветитьThe MEAC needs to bring in Coppin State & Maryland Eastern Shore for football as well.
ОтветитьGrass isn’t always greener on the other side.
If the MEAC pick up 2-4 more schools for football, they’ll be able to have a CRICKET MEAC CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL GAME, just like the CRICKET SWAC CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL GAME in the first week of December each year. 🤔 That’s some revenue for the MEAC right there.
It's about sustainability. These programs will not survive if they're not making any money. What does the new MEAC media rights deal look like?
ОтветитьThis is BS! We're not going back. Our fans are STILL showing up. JUST WIN!
ОтветитьWhy not report that A&T is making 5X's as much money in the CAA from our streaming deal alone!
We have the best of both worlds! Don't mess it up!
Move the football team back ONLY. Not all sports.
ОтветитьFrom my understanding, NC A&T and Hampton make more money from the CAA media deal than what they did with the MEAC.
ОтветитьIt will cost A&T $1.25 million to leave the CAA and another $500,000 entrance fee to return to the MEAC.
If this alumni group that paid the Coach Brown Buyout will pay that $1.75 million dollars, we might not have a choice in this, no matter how you feel about it.
It is so sad that many of us lack the vision of CREATIVELY building HBCU conferences better & stronger. This includes those of us still in HBCU conferences and those that have left, seeking greener grass!
ОтветитьEarl Hilton followed orders. Hilton is not an administrator who goes out on a limb without his boss’ wishes. The Big South, CAA and Coach Brown hire fit the criteria and mission of former Chancellor Martin.
ОтветитьSome of the Fans Lut, it’s basically a chitllins bowl that would be sad move, we can kiss R1 goodbye now we back second rate MEAC will invite a high school SOME OF THE AGGIEs Fans
ОтветитьI think game attendance should be a factor in deciding whether we should stay or go back. If fans aren't attending then we aren't making money. Also, the band should be able to play more in the stands.
ОтветитьI'm not a betting man, but if I was.....I will say the ones that don't want to go back to the MEAC, aren't attending ever Home Game, Have Season Tickets and set their throughout the whole game til the end. I mean the past 2 and 3 years. Some of us been attending those Games since 1980 like me at age 10.
ОтветитьFor the ones saying we made more money from Flo Sports, we are at the bottom 2 of a 14 Team League with our Sports facilities. Hampton is at the bottom with us. ESPN Plus carries all the SWAC, MEAC and Tennessee St while we hardly can be found. Plus ESPN is carried in more homes. People putting down the MEAC, but NCCU, Delaware St and SCST either beat or competed better than A&T against the CAA than us. Central has beaten Elon at least. It be our people that always thinking the water is cooler onthe other side. But the other side don't want us. Delaware is leaving because they said it's too many teams in the conference. Monmouth and Kennesaw State left the Big South Because they said it was too many teams in the conference. It's funny that these teens love for A&T and Hampton joined.
ОтветитьWe ain’t going back, unless the MEAC fixes the issues that led to 6 teams leaving they don’t need to go back
ОтветитьNo…. We don’t like losing!!! If we win a lot of the naysayers will shut up
ОтветитьI’m not sure why people think our game attendance was stellar in the MEAC towards the latter years. People just don’t go to games physically like they used to across the board compared to yesteryear. If we’re banking on gate sales being the income source to sustain our athletic program then going back to the poorly run MEAC won’t help that effort. Winning solves all whines.
ОтветитьLooking back; the move was calculated and yet premature. Their goals can still be achieved but I do not see them coming back to the MEAC. Call Conference USA and try that route as the CAA is not it
ОтветитьI think the MEAC is the best fit for NCA&T. I think the move is about 2 years away but in college football things move fast, today. I also think that A&T chancellor must push the MEAC to change their media deal and remove the "all exclusive rights" that ESPN has. The MEAC commissioner and president board has to get with the modern day media deals.
ОтветитьMEAC-SWAC merger should be the goal. Just take the FBS model if it’s about surviving and money. TN ST, NC A&t, Hampton join up. 4 team Celebration Bowl playoffs to make things intriguing.
ОтветитьLol so their ice wasn't colder after all was it? 😂😂😂
ОтветитьCan we please stop this!!! I hope this doesn’t happen, nobody came when we were in the Meac so I don’t know why folks are making it bigger than what it is other than we have two losing seasons. AD has put Hbcus on the schedule and y’all still aren’t happy . So it is what it is . Nothing makes any of you happy
ОтветитьHonestly if we go back I would consider it a lost. We going back because we can’t make it in the CAA. Let’s go back to what is easier and comfortable. No!!!!! We drive forward and win the CAA and eventually become the first HBCU to go FBS!!! Aggies stop looking backward. Let’s go!!!! We got this!!! We can win anywhere!!! We Aggies!!!!
Ответитьwhats the benefits of going back to the MEAC?
ОтветитьI don't see this happening if they are making more money from the CAA. I understand culturally the fans might want it but if their plan is to become an FBS level HBCU going back makes no sense.
ОтветитьI hope they do come back!
ОтветитьWell financially and academically the school has soared on a national level since joining the CAA. Schools in the CAA has higher standards and codes to follow verses the meac. A&T is now the most wealthiest public HBCU in the land. This school intentions are to become a R1 university which we don’t really have any R1 HBCU’s. So the move to CAA was more than just football or sports. It’s true we missed playing our fellow HBCU’s so hopefully they can arranged games with other HBCU’s on all their open dates. I don’t see us returning to the Meac anytime soon.
ОтветитьBoth should have never left the MEAC.
ОтветитьNc&t is move forward there no money in the meac it time to move forward
ОтветитьWhy repeat things that are not confirmed?
ОтветитьA&T was tripping when they left the meac now they can buy a win. I think they had 12 people in the stands one game. Idk y they would do that
ОтветитьFrom all I've seen, the MEAC is still unwilling, or unable, to make the desired and necessary investments in their conference to really benefit the schools as far as what a conference should be able to offer. With that being said, is the potential for a SWAC EAST not a tenable conversation?
ОтветитьI think all the HBCU’s should join the Group of 5.
ОтветитьMight as well.
ОтветитьHampton tried to play the white people money game. Well that didn't work. Them people did not want us there AAAANYWAY. Please come back (HOME) to MEAC
ОтветитьIt's about that "MOOLAH!!!!" 💰
ОтветитьA&T is a family tradition school. Tradition and pride is what HBCU's are all about. Please go back to the MEAC. Let's keep it in the family.
ОтветитьTennessee State won the OVC and now theirs no talk of them leaving going to the SWAC. If A&T wins the CAA championship and continue winning, the chatter about going back to the MEAC will stop. We just need to start winning. I don’t want A&T go to an unstable conference that might be losing Howard & DSU in the future.
ОтветитьKeep chasing the money. Lose you souls and minds.
ОтветитьI hope they both go back! Should have never left, but money talks and bs walks!! 😂😂😂
ОтветитьThe I Go By Feel comment made by Chancellor Martin was in reference to Coach Gibbs…and how he felt he was the right person for the job. Has nothing to do with anything else.
ОтветитьThis would be a great move for the MEAC
