Double Cab Short Bed FTW!

access cab w/ long bed. The rear seats are poor in my 2019, but for some reason I don't like the look of double cab Tacomas, especially with the short bed. Just personal preference.

EXCELLENT review. I wish we lived near to do a deal. the sales guys see are often very uninterested in details & not well versed.... I was very seriously leaning to an access cab, a long bed is a must, but now want the double cab. Tipping point: fold flat seats so I can put my dog & hunting gear, etc....

Great Review, I bought a 2020 DCLB. The wheel base difference is only 13.6 “ from the DCSB. I plan on getting new lifts with KO2 tires. For me the access cab didn’t have enough head room. Also, if you plan on camping out of your truck you’ll be glad you have the long bed. I got the magnetic grey metallic color. Whichever you choose you are still a winner if you choose Tacoma. Three people in the Raleigh area have over a million miles on their Tacoma engines.

On the double cab, what did you do with the rear headrests?

A short bed ?- might as well get a 2002 camry LE for $ 1700

when you say the leg room dimension do u mean measured horizontally across from the rear of the seat to front?

So the wheelbase between the access cab long bed and the double cab short bed are almost identical. Wanting the shorter wheelbase for offending I guess it will come down to valuing cargo space or cab space.

Access cab if the doors don't rattle.

the access cab is way better design than the ford ranger of the same year. seriously what was ford thinking with that. and they have the balls to price it the same as a tacoma...

I prefer the look and longer bed of the access cab. With seats, it's big enough in back to haul groceries and my two dogs. Both look great though!

I want to lean towards the 22 Tacoma V6 4x4 Access Cab as the truck's balance symmetry is well balanced visually & aesthetically & not chopped off or with the Tacoma Double Cab 6' Bed 'that I looked at yesterday at a Toyota Oregon Central Coast dealership was quite long for a 22 ( Tacoma Small Pickup Truck ) though a beautiful 22 Tacoma TRD Sport in Lunar Rock it is

I had a '16 Access cab while I was in CA, its an excellent city truck. The truck bed is just as big as a 1/2 ton truck and bigger than the double cab 1/2 tons.

What is the weight difference between access cab vs. double cab ?

With the world constantly giving the customer less product without changing price, we are now faced with this demeanor in the real estate realm. Garages get smaller and smaller for the same heading of 2-car or 3-car variations.
This becomes a challenge to fit our favorite toy haulers in a space that is becoming more fitting of a smart car.
That said, what are the overall lengths of the 3 garage-kept-worthy steeds?
