Thanks for this vid. I do agree it went by fast, but I just set it to 0.5x and paused occasionally. Nice to have a short video that gets to it. A bit of narration would be helpful, but I'll cover it.
In order to keep your battery longevity up, it is a good idea not to leave it above 80% for long periods. But, at the same time, when out on a long trip and needing to charge, you want as much of the battery as you can get so you can get the maximum range on your trip. The solution here is location-based charging. For "Home" it can be set to where you live (replacing the old location in the video) and then once set, you can configure the max charge (which should be low, 80% or a bit less). That way, when not in use, the battery doesn't sit for long periods wearing out. For "away" (anywhere that isn't home) the maximum was set to 100%. The maximum is up to you, but the thought here is you will drop rapidly from 100% as you drive away, so topping up to the very maximum should have minimal effect on battery longevity.

I'd add one more point. If you have a L2 charger and you leave the bolt at 80% by default, before you head out, you could bump up the charge manually before leaving if you think you will need it. It will charge within an hour or so to the maximum in that case. A little planning is all that is needed. You could set a reminder on your Phone/Alexa, etc 2h before you leave to bump up your maximum temporarialy.

I came here because I plan to rent a Bolt and wanted to adjust the charge limit to 100% for the trip, then change it back when done.

Honestly going about 1/2 as fast would have made this a great video!
