I'm a one-handed no thumb bowler, and accuracy is the most important factor in modern games, and it also depends on the balls. House balls are soaked up with oil and don't have a lot of hook (unless you sand it at 1000 grit for it to hook), but you'll have to throw it slow to get it to curve.
