Back in England in the 70's I bought his "a real mother for you" album. One of my more "hip" friends had to explain thr title to me.

As noted, Johnny Guitar Watson was a huge influence on Zappa. This song in particular inspired him to switch from drums and take up guitar. Watson later returned the favor by contributing to four Zappa LPs, and even dropping in on a couple of live performances. He also participated in some of the home jam sessions Frank held in his final days.

I think it’s possible to hear the influence on Zappas guitar playing. JGW and FZ were both brilliant 👍
