Crypto was gonna go down Bitcoin got too high too fast with inflation everyone is selling to get money to use. Good for people who sold it back last year when it was high, but this is another good time to buy and get into the market.

Look at the all time highs - even if you bought at the top, the next top should be a 3x gain… but only if you can hodl through the 80% drop between them (4 year super cycle). We need better education so people buy the lows (not the hype) and keep their coins in hard wallets (not exchanges). Just my 2 cents. Best of luck to everyone.

Investing in Crypto is risky. Dont invest what you cant afford to lose. Im involed in Bitcoin, ADA, and Chainlink because of their potential use cases. I've been burned too, but Bitcoin is unique among Cyptos so I'm in for the long term.

Cryptos weren't intended as a hedge against inflation, but as a means of operating/funding Blockchains. Blockchains are't going away, so the question is, what are the realistic values of the coins/tokens?

I'm like you FocusedSpender. I invested about $1500 with half in doge and half in ETH. Both are down -82% and -80%, respectfully. I am much more heavily invested and diversified in stocks and mutual funds. I'm glad I never went all in. I feel for the people that did! A lot of other folks have lost a lot of money too, but they are diversified in other assets, like stocks and real estate. I follow them on YT and they talk about it and show their portfolios. It is devastating!

A lot of the crypto platforms were overleveraged and either lent out investors money or they borrowed crypto from platforms that sold crypto. As crypto tanked the borrowers were unable to pay back these loans and these platforms were all lending and borrowing from eachother with investors money. The platforms halted withdrawals because they didn't have the funds to pay for the withdraws and are going bankrupt. The worst place to leave your money is on these platforms. If you're an investor it's best to get a cold wallet. I think itll be a couple years before the space runs up and probably. More downside as these platforms keep crashing and forced to sell all the crypto held.

I truly believe crypto is here to stay. Blockchains are the future. However, investing in it is a different story. You have to pay attention to the signs around you. I sold all my crypto back in December 2021 when I first noticed a dip. At first I thought I made a mistake. But 7 months later, I'm now buying things back way cheaper. I tell people I invest intuitively, which is not financial advice lol. But I truly consult with my higher self and spirit team which tells me when to buy and when to sell. And crypto makes up only 10% of my portfolio.

I didn’t know this, but it doesn’t really surprise me. I thought mostly new investors and people with lower incomes were heavily investing into crypto, and some black people were just a portion of those individuals.

I have a small amount invested in crypto and I’m planning to hold. That was pretty much my plan before things started to plummet. I like to invest a small amount ($100 or less) early when it is cheap, and wait for a substantial rise or a particular dollar amount to sell. I’m ok with waiting for years for a pay day or losing it due to drop in value since I didn’t invest much anyways.

And don't forget about those $4. athletic shoes that sell for up to $500. . What are they worth now? And car rims continue to loose value as soon as they hit the street. All of those gold chains are worth less than they were a year ago. Special edition designer handbags are good investments, but you would need a place to store them and you probably won't get that many any way. How many millions in weed do Black Americans burn up everyday. Investing in crypto is probably one of the best things for us because it gives some of us a connection to investing that they would have never gotten. If you lose money, next time you know what not to do. You should always thoroughly investigate anything you plan to invest in, just like you would do if you were hiring a contractor to remodel your house. DCA in with $100. every other day. Check out the historical record of what you are investing in. Learn technical analysis.

Black or white - you deserve to burn and go down if you invested in this crap. Intelligent people knew this was a scam. Fools and sheep who follow trends, social media, and the masses whom invest in crypto. You just copy and regurgitate what other people tell you. Blockchain has valuable applications but crypto is not and will NEVER be a currency replacement. Remember that or lose your money...idiots.

As blacks we are falling into the same old habits. We are just consuming on the application layer instead of creating on the back end. We are over exposed on these failing Centralized exchanges while all the wealth is actually being made behind the scenes on the decentralized protocols. If we take the time to learn the technology, create communities around blockchain, and most importantly learn financial literacy (in general) we would be in a better place. I do agree with you that you shouldn't place all your investments in one area! Crypto is here to stay but you must learn the game first because this technology is more powerful than you truly know. Once you understand what it means to truly own what you create you will not fear it you will embrace it and create generational wealth.

Bitcoin and Etherum were the only 2 mentioned. There are others that will explode during the next bull run. You just have to get them before the news break. Once the news break everybody run like sheep and the early investors are the ones who win…same with the stock market!

After being shut out of land, home ownership and traditional Financial Instruments like stocks since slavery was abolished. The black community seems eager to establish themselves at the center of the next financial revolution. By investing in a stateless censorship resistant digital money shows they are trying to build generational wealth to get a seat at the table.

Wall Street received its name from the wall that the Dutch settlers constructed in the 17th century to protect their colony of New Amsterdam (which later became New York City) from potential English invasion. The area that is now Wall Street was originally inhabited by the Lenape people, who were the native inhabitants of the New York City region before the arrival of European settlers.

The Dutch West India Company, which controlled New Amsterdam, eventually took control of Manhattan island from the Lenape through various treaties and land purchases. The Dutch West India Company, historically acquired ports on the west African coast to supply slaves for plantations in the West Indies and South America. So African Americans having some hesitation to stocks and Wall Street over crypto is warranted.

Bitcoin has outperformed every other asset since its creation. There should be a distinction between crypto, Bitcoin, and blockchain technology. Bitcoin has captured a significant portion of gold's market cap in 14 years; there should definitely be balance. There's a difference between investing and gambling. Bitcoin has officially been adopted by BlackRock, Fidelity, Tesla, Square, El Salvador, the Houston Fire Department Pension Fund, etc.

I really enjoyed this video, but I will tell you this: when I go to these Bitcoin conferences every month in the fourth largest city in America, there are rooms of nothing but white people. Very affluent white folks, and many of them are older. I am often the only Black person there and the youngest, and I'm 36 years old. By the way, Bitcoin is currently at $70,000! Our people need to study and understand blockchain technology and stay tapped into what's going on. Understand the difference between inflationary and deflationary systems, the four-year cycles, and halving events. Look at BlackRock's allocation recommendations. People don't educate themselves and sell during volatile times regardless of what asset it is.
