Disease of Addiction Explained: Dr. Deni Carise, Recovery Centers of America

Dr. Deni Carise, Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer, Recovery Centers of America (RCA), Adjunct Assistant Professor, University of Pennsylvania talks about the disease of addiction. Dr. Carise is a Clinical Psychologist and has been part of the recovery community for over 30 years and is dedicated to creating neighborhood-based treatment and recovery campuses that include detoxification, residential, partial hospital, intensive and traditional outpatient, and family services, all available on one campus. She spoke at the Oct. 2018 event, "It Takes a Village" Resources for Overcoming Addiction Through Long Term Recovery sponsored by Friends of The Manor & Villanova University College of nursing.
