ОтветитьThe price on the intel website is the price newegg pays per 1000 chips
"Recommended Customer Price (RCP) is pricing guidance only for Intel products. Prices are for direct Intel customers, usually represent 1,000-unit purchase quantities, and are subject to change without notice. Prices may vary for other package types and shipment quantities. In bulk, price represents individual unit. Listing of RCP does not constitute a formal pricing offer from Intel."
so that's not the MSRP of the chips
Trying to decide if I should get 12900k KS or 13900k for gaming. I have a NH-d15 and all I do is game. Yes I know I don’t need one of these for gaming but I don’t wanna pair anything less with my 3090ti and I’m not getting a 4090 until 50 series is announced.
ОтветитьHey @robeytech love the videos! I wanted to ask you a question for the z690 motherboards right now the aorus ultra is on sale right now for 200. Should i go with the ultra or the z690 aero G
ОтветитьBrother im sticking with AMD efficiency is the key not a nuclear reactor intel
ОтветитьThanks for the great take! Makes me pretty stoked on my recent choice to pair my new 4090 with a 5800X3D. So cheap relative to buying into a whole new platform, and it should suit my needs perfectly until the next-gen.
ОтветитьNo productivity software benchmarks .. This cant give you a complete overview to choose the best cpu according o one's need.
ОтветитьCan’t wait to see the overclocking/undervolting guide for Intel 13th gen! Is an overclocking/undervolting guide for the Nvidia RTX 40 series also in the works? There’s so many techtubers trying to draw out different theories but no logical conclusion has yet been made…
ОтветитьIntel has no upgrade path and uses a lot of power so AMD wins for me.
ОтветитьIntel quotes prices per 1000 pcs. not MSRP. a 10% markup by NewEgg would be right around what they are selling it for.
ОтветитьI don’t know much about computers so I rely on your (and other’s) opinions to make an informed purchase for building my first computer
ОтветитьGood way to put it. Hard pressed to pick a winner. Comes down to upgrade price case by case. 5800X3D to a gamer with an existing AM4 system? Cheapest and easiest upgrade and keeps you on the cutting edge for a year or two. Sell old chip and buy the 5800X3D. Building new? Whatever works for you in your region for price performance. AM5 will be around 3 or 4 years so that's really cool.
ОтветитьGreat Review!
ОтветитьThe 5800x3d looks better and better every day.
ОтветитьRunning a current i7-9700k with a 3080, is upgrading to lets say the i7-13700k going to be my worth while? I play at 1440P which i feel like is good for the 3080s but is it really going to be that wroth it to drop 700-800 dollars on a new mobo and cpu?
ОтветитьGiven Intel's efficiency claims at reduced power levels, I wonder how the 13th gen would fare in laptops... though since the power draw of the 13900k seem to be boosting to the stratosphere it might not be suitable enough for the mobile platform, kind of similarly to the HX release of the 12th gen... On desktops, if the Intel's Raptor Lake keeps boosting and drawing those numbers from the wall, the difference to Zen4 Ryzen 9 might be big enough to equalise the MSRP upper hand over a couse of a year depending on your wattage prices.
ОтветитьWhy is it on all the reviews the AMD has lower latency ram. Don't tell me it's not available, I have a kit of ddr-6000 cas 30 at 64 gigs everybody seems to use either cas 32 or cas 36. Now I'm not trying to imply that the benchmarks hinge on this but why not use the same rated ram?
ОтветитьIntel might've just thrown a wrench into my whole upgrade plan, in a few years
Ответитьi went all intel got a 13600k, z690 mb msi tomahawk, corsair vengeance ddr5 5600 32 gig kit, paired with a arc a770 acer bifrost gpu
ОтветитьAs you've said you really can't go wrong with either team red or blue. I decided to go with AMD because it's what I've used in my past 3 pc's. It's also the beginning of the platform so upgrading in the future will work better for me.
Ответить@robeytech does the upgraded memory controller on the 13900k support 4 ddr5 dimms xmp without downclocking ?
ОтветитьNot really a tie when you consider overall platform costs atm and the lower end intel cpu's will age better because of the e-cores
ОтветитьAorus b650?
ОтветитьRip amd
ОтветитьBeautiful and essential overhaul of the new processors, with your lovely sympathy!
Surely 5800X3D and 13600K are of great value right now especially by choosing well the other components of the platform (motherboard, cpu cooler, RAM)
Thanks for your great videos!
i have RX 6800XT, which CPU i choose 13700k or 7700x?
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьI disagree with the claim you've made that it's a "Tie". While 13th gen has similar performance as AM5 in gaming, it excels in productivity. However, to actually decide, one needs to ask "What do I need?"
Do you need a cpu for gaming? go with AM5 since it will offer upgradeability without changing motherboard and as new games come out this will be very nice (maybe a new game in 3 years from now will be very cpu demanding, who knows). You just buy and swap the cpu.
Do you need a cpu for some gaming and productivity? go with Intel 13th gen and have very good performance now without caring about upgradeability and power draw. You just need performance, so why would you care?
Should I buy I faster i9 13900k with no upgrade path or a slower amd 7900x with an upgrade path with a similar price?
ОтветитьIntel is delaying what AMD is going through right now in having to change the motherboard and RAM along with the CPU. When Intel rips off the bandaid, unless mobo prices are lower than AMD's, they're going to go through the same issue for a lot of buyers. The question of which to go with, again, boils down to the amount of time you can keep the motherboard you buy. AMD has a better track record of this. I'd like to see Intel step up here.
ОтветитьI WAS looking at upgrading to a 7900x from a 3700x, but with this Intel drop, no idea anymore. a lot to replace either way lol
ОтветитьMy plans for a 3rd pc build for 23/24 is definitely the hardest one for me, in terms of who do I go with this time around, team blue or team red. 13th gen, am5 7000x3d, or even am4 Ryzen 7 5800X3D🤔😅😅But that is a good thing, so many good options to choose from these days!
ОтветитьPerfect video man. You spot on as well
ОтветитьProductivity and work benchmarks missing
Ответить
