I just loved this album. When I hear it it's 1975 and I'm back in college. Not a particularly happy time.

The lyrics are amazing. Being so consumed by feelings for a woman that nothing exists apart from the idea of her. Been there. The lyrics were the work of Hal David.

This is my favorite song on his Breakaway album and one of my favorite songs of all time. Beautiful song that I never get tired of hearing.

This is a haunting version. Garfunkle has a beautiful voice.

Reminds me of going to LAX enroute to Heathrow airpor in London to meet my husband. That was 16 years ago.❤❤

Albert Hammond did a very well, organically sounding rendition of "99 Miles...", however Garfunkel's extraordinary lush arrangement & his 1st tenor lead vocal, makes this incredible version stand out, on it's very own, strong, but yet poignant merit.

Majestic, bittersweet masterpiece.

I rode to her... It wasnt long. An hour and a half maybe... But all my thoughts were on her. Her lips and how they felt. The smell of her hair. The sound of her voice. I couldn't wait to hold her.

The comments are so strange. This was about a fish and chips stand at the bottom of Topanga Canyon where it meets the sea. The guy couldn't remember if it closed at 4pm or 5pm, so he calls to be sure.
