Hello Terri, a very interesting video thank you. I enjoyed visiting York my maternal ancestral home area. My family history traces back as far as Medieval Briton, some Viking ancestry too. As most families in Britain, I agree with you, buildings built and made to last, a skilled job keeping up with the renovations. I like the smaller church St Michaels in the square, it has a hushed tone to it in the peace and quiet after the bustle of The Shambles, the energy is calming. I enjoy the Viking history and the various reenactment groups, here in the Northwest. Chester 20 minutes away by train is another ancient city that has seen its fair share of battles and religious warfare. Thankfully we aren't condemned or fined for our preferences in that regard, we owe a lot to our ancestors. Once again glad you both had a great trip and worthwhile event that you attended. Hugs and Blessings to you both.💚🌹

ОтветитьWonderful. I grew up in York. Things have changed so much since I lived there 10 years ago, but somehow all the ancient things stay the same. It's comforting. <3
ОтветитьThank you! I will never get there and love to learn the history of my ancestors, the good and the bad as we learn from both. I have a bit of Viking in me as well, so perhaps I had ancestor there walking the city at one point.!

ОтветитьBeautiful tour of York, thank you for the walk about!
Side comment. You look absolutely stunning in your beautiful ponchos that you have made... Would you be so kind as to share the patterns link?
So much rich history there - again, TY! ❤
The fur babies are the happiest little scampers ever seen, so loving and well taken care of by their awesome family. Wow, what great shots all of the faces and old timey signs... way better than a documentary in film. And You do realize that you own those ancient streets as You sashay your way through with intent and a willing heart. Boons of Blessings to All of Us and allow me to wish my fellow Americans a Better Independence Day in the making for All.
ОтветитьFantastic trip to York, thank you. Great video and the courses sound great! And its always sweet to see the dogs 🐕🐕
ОтветитьYou have a true talent for "travel, history, archaeology videos". Thank you, it was delightful & I learned some history that I didn't know. You are very gifted. The photography was amazing (as usual). How lovely.
Blessings and Happiness 🌱
You have a wonderful time 😊
ОтветитьThanks Terri for a interesting tour I always wanted to visit there for the History ..Such a terrible story about Margaret Clitherow what a strong woman to hold on to her beliefs ♥ but the sheer cruelty in humans no words can describe ever !!
Good to hear the women quite fancied the Vikings though & can understand why clean masculine men with long hair 😘
Love York and stay there in our motorhome from time to time. Noticed too that you were in Leyburn . We looked over that view just a few weeks ago , staying nearby again in our motorhome ! Lovely places ❤ We're just in Hartlepool so lucky to have them so nearby ❤
ОтветитьWow nice tour video I like how the page turns now in the video. What program do you use? Love the historical knowledgeable and great music videos. In my Viking Swedish ancestry, Vikings had ear spoons to clean out wax and combs etc Thank You Vikki in New York usa
ОтветитьThank you for the lovely video Terri . I have just come back from Yorkshire on Friday , Thursday we went to York and York minster . The scenery in Yorkshire is breathtaking xx
ОтветитьI loved this video! I learned so much, and I do enjoy your respect for those who have come and gone before us. Thank you!
ОтветитьShe kind of lost me at CLEAN Viking men....😍 no white, Christian, uptight man can compete with that. Of course, the women wanted THAT!! We are not stupid! Lol. I'm Christian, but I'm disgusted with modern man....weak...half clean....no ambition. Just saying....
ОтветитьThank you Dana, lovely bits of history 🙏🏻🪶💚💚💚
ОтветитьDear, dear York! How I long to go there once more. A lovely walking tour, so thank you for that! 💚

ОтветитьLoved the trip to York!! Thank you ❤
ОтветитьYour inspiration has lead to me leaving a wonderful herbal garden when I sold my home. I will build a new one on the coast of an ocean home. Leaving the wild open lands of Wyoming for a coastal life and a new herbal garden.
