This was a great video. Galena summit(the pass you went over to get to Sun Valley) is one of my favorite views on the planet. I live about 4 hours south of there and try to make it at least 2 or 3 times a year.

what did you do to keep the water from freezing at night?

Nice. A question. When you're driving on the highway with the pop up tent closed in its case, do you hear it much, and does it decrease your average mpg much, how much? Thanks. I'd rather mount one on the top of the cab of my pick up instead of over the bed, be higher up and keep the bed more useful, so wondering implications of that.

Great looking meal. That's the way to eat when you camp. As for the tent insulation, it may intentionally be lose like that to allow more of an air pocket between it and the outer shell, to help further with the insulation, similar to multiple layers of clothing. Just a guess though. And it does seem awfully loose even so.

How do you power all that stuff? Do you have a dual battery isolator and inverter?

I don't like long drives, hate camping and live in the tropics. But would totally go with him just for that gourmet meal.
