ОтветитьAwesome prayer👍🙌🏻 “……and my answer will be ,,Yes!! Lord !!! Yes!! 🎶 🎹🎶
ОтветитьIt's refreshing to see a young man with such Biblical understanding and passion for the Lord. May your tribe increase!
ОтветитьGreat video David alot of biblical wisdom in this. It is a great lesson in how God can change us for the better. He loves us so much to save us and he loves us so much to ensure we don't stay the safe. Bring on part 2! 🙏🏾
ОтветитьAmen!
ОтветитьWhen suggesting sending fire from heaven they might have been thinking of Sodom and Gomorrah
ОтветитьThank you for your in depth study of John! I love to know the history of the Bible! No need to apologize. God bless you!
ОтветитьI “hung” in with you, did not feel you were all over place, but very informative - love is the bottom line,,,thank you for this lesson,,,
ОтветитьGood work David 😉
ОтветитьIn the middle of listening to you. Wow! You are very excellent! Are you in seminary? You have lots of detailed info. I was pleased that you even mentioned the early church fathers like Iranaus, Polycarp etc.
Some early martyrs.
I enjoy your teachings! Love them! Thank you for using your gifts for Christ! Can’t wait to hear the rest. This is long but outstanding! So enriching! God bless you. 😊
So good
ОтветитьYou’re very knowledgeable in the Bible. Thank you for your insight.👍
ОтветитьI had to laugh around 40 minutes in, how so many names were popular. When my oldest daughter was born, I wanted to call her Jessica, but my family chided me saying it was so old-fashioned that she would be teased. I named her that anyway, and it turned out to be the #1 name at that time! (I should have gone with choice #2 and named her Pollyanna, lol) But, at around the 1 hour mark, I realized that if John and James were Jesus' cousins, which I had heard elsewhere as well, it struck me as a "wow" thought, that they would believe on Jesus as the Messiah before His brothers. I mean, if one of MY cousins claimed such...what would I have thought??Brothers and cousins are very close, usually, especially in days of such limited mobility. Thankful for that new thought.
ОтветитьHi David,
Just finished listening to the whole thing…I have always loved the gospel of John.
You were NOT all over the place. You were wonderful.
For me John is higher and deeper and filled with love.
I believe he was very young when he began following Jesus.
Like maybe 12-13.
(I also believe that Mother Mary at the Annunciation was maybe 13-15)
I believe John admired, loved and looked up to his big brother James, an older teen.
Sounds like Peter may have been the oldest apostle.
Plus Jesus I believe, named Peter the rock and made him in charge and to be respected.
So I think that when John ran faster to the tomb than Peter, it was because John was younger and faster!
Plus I think he stopped before entering the tomb when he got there before Peter,
simply out of respect for Peter the older in charge apostle and let him enter first on purpose.
I think John loved and adored Jesus as if he was his father. His trusted adult companion and teacher.
He surely learned by example watching Jesus closely.
I think Jesus did treat him like his young child son.
That explains for me why he was leaning against Jesus at the Last Supper.
A typical comfortable relaxed thing any young son would even do today
as a pal of a loving dad.
Hanging out.
John was a warm and affectionate kid!
I believe that Jesus treated him like His smallest child…
who was purer of heart
and absorbing all Jesus did every minute like smaller pre teen and young adolescent children do.
I think John’s heart was warm and caring and everything he did was to protect and defend Jesus.
I don’t think he was proud.
I believe he loved Jesus so intensely that he became Jesus’s self appointed protector and bodyguard!
He didn’t want anything or anyone to hurt Jesus.
If Mother Mary was around I suspect she treated John too as her small son.
After all he left his real parents at a very young
age.
As we know a father figure is very important for the development of children.
So John had the best father figure ever…Jesus!
Just my thoughts! You make me think more after you teach.
Thank you so much! 👏
I am so thankful for your explanation about the apostle John's meaning of being beloved. I find it to be fundamental to my walk with God and key to my understanding of who I am. I was wondering about his statement and never got clarity until hearing this from you. Thank you! I listen to the whole length of your videos and am learning. Looking forward to the upcoming lectures!
ОтветитьI’m here from Brandon Robbins’ referral. Get ready for your channel to blow up. Can’t wait for your content.
ОтветитьVery interesting. I learned a lot. Will watch your recap of the other apostles for sure. Thank you!
ОтветитьThis was so helpful. I have long struggled with feeling like I don’t love enough. Understanding that John changed as he grew older and closer to Jesus was quite encouraging. Jesus saw something in John that even John couldn’t see in himself.
ОтветитьThank you again for your research & passion in your commentary. And so glad you began & ended with prayer, please continue to do so in seeking God's will. Also agree with your statements about our culture's misguided concept of "love & truth". Well done!
ОтветитьGood job brother. Thanks
ОтветитьWell done your explanations are great and this is from one who has studied scripture for years alone and under some very good scholars
ОтветитьAnother great video from you dear David. Thank you so much!!!
Ответить🙏🏾 Thank you , God sent me to the chosen and it ended up sending me to your channel. I was recently baptized and I needed someone like you to help me understand the Bible more and fall more in love with god.
ОтветитьI love this and like to listen to it bed. I love your feedback…. so very helpful ! Thank you 🙏. Can you see if this can continue.. without…. the pauses
ОтветитьFinally getting back to the last part of this....From what I have read of John's writings, I definitely recognize that John understands in black and white or simplistic terms which has helped me tremendously (It's amazing what you can learn just by knowing the simple things). And, I can see now though it does seem harsh to not even invite those who do not preach love into your home, it is in full alignment with the idea that God is Love and in Him there is no darkness. Darkness and Love and Light cannot coexist anyway. So, it's actually not even about being harsh, I'd say.....And, Love is the only real emotion and once you can recognize and accept this truth the darkness disappears.......God has been so gracious to me that He's put in my life a teacher who understands me and has taught me about God in ways I never would have learned on my own.
ОтветитьThank you for these individual studies on the apostles. They are very informative and let's me know how narrow and out of context my knowledge has been for ... well I'm not going to tell you how long :-) God continue to bless you.
ОтветитьHi David just listening to this again I love it so much x
ОтветитьYoung John and Young James grew up as best friends like young Peter and young Andrew.
And yup, young John is same as young Peter: brash, impulsive, hot headed but of course, everything changed when young John was the only disciple who was there with Jesus (it's sad that Peter wasn't there 😥) when Jesus was crucified. He had witnessed everything and Jesus entrusted His mother to him. He became more mature after Jesus' resurrection and when his brother, James died due to martyrdom .
This is really outstanding!!!
ОтветитьYou are so helpful David, thank you.
ОтветитьOk, this is fantastic. I watched Your Peter videos first. I am doing a Bible Study on 1, 2, & 3 John. It only made sense to watch John next. The one thing I really noticed about both videos was that in your excitement you didn't pray. That made me question watching more. I am so grateful that I chose John next. Your prayer is just a small whisper to let me know your heart is full of the Holy Spirit.
ОтветитьGreat video, Hello from Laconia New Hampshire USA
Kepler Padilla
Personally I am an Arabic speaker and I think that the term sister is used as in the Arabic language in the sense of close relative, moreover in the gospel in Arabic it is written أُمُّهُ، وَأُخْتُ أُمِّهِ مَرْيَمُ زَوْجَةُ كِلُوبَا، وَمَرْيَمُ الْمَجْدَلِيَّةُ Which means translated word for word his mother and the sister of his mother Mary Wife of cleopa and marie Magdalene we can therefore understand that the wife of cleopa is the sister of the mother of Jesus and that it is possible that she is also called mary
ОтветитьThanks for this
God bless
Much learned
I love your teaching! You are such a great teacher
ОтветитьRevelation was written prior to 70 AD, I doubt the disciples were that young. John was atleast 20 years old. Thanks for your hard work.
Ответить❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьGet rid of lights behind you
ОтветитьAMEN THERE'S ONLY ONE JOHN IN THE BOOK JOHN 13;19-20
ОтветитьYou were not all over the place, you were fascinating, and eloquent. very factual and orderly, providing a pristine clarity in the presentation and explanation. so interesting ! really enjoyable, inspiring.
ОтветитьThank you ❤
