Civilization 9 Will be out by the time CO releases CS2 on console. If they ever do. They lied about the deep simulation. It just doesn't work. Civ 7 looks good though. Console version will never release, they should wait for the next generation and instead focus on making pc version better then port that to console

I hope Hawaii means the floodgates are open for the relatively lesser civs to be represented somewhere down the dlc pipeline, like the indigenous taiwanese for example, singapore can be implemented as asian venice.

Cross-Platform play is actually so huge. I have a friend group and we’re gonna play a lobby day 1 but 1 friend doesn’t have a computer. This is a game changer for him since he owns a switch.

My problem is that my computer will not play Civ Vii or Ara history untold. So if i want to play these games i will have to buy a new computer so i am looking at $3,000 to $4,000???

Looking at that list of exploration civs, and seeing all the incredibly iconic and obvious choices that were left off, from the Phoenicians to the Akkadians to the Israelites, just lends the impression that the devs had a bias in the selection.

Have they said anything about how the console version will be? Will it be the same? How will they solve controllers etc?

I don't really get why people would be upset that not every leader is a head of state. Because Gandhi has literally been in the games the whole time and he was never head of state. Same goes for Bismarck, and Theodora was just Justinian's wife. And I guess the argument is that despite not being heads of state they were very influential politically, but you can say that about Confucius, Ben Franklin etc. Honestly I think people just like being mad. I also don't get the historical accuracy complaint because none of the games are accurate since you can start as America in 4000 BC and have immortal leaders.

The only off putting thing so far that I've seen with Civ VII is that you'll get Denuvo installed along with the game. Other than that I'm really happy they are changing the game to be very different from Civ VI. Even if they've ripped of Humankind with the changing Civilization thing and ripped off Millennia with the City vs Town thing. Anything that makes it not be like Civ VI is a good thing in my book. Civ VI was the first and hopefully last game in the series I do not like. I still play Civ V and occasionally still Civ IV. I also play Humankind a lot and Millennia some. I actually even found a way recently to play Civ I again, since I used to have it on my old Amiga Commodore 600. I still have the rest of the Civ series games in their original boxes.

Having only two European civs for the exploration age is bonkers. Europe was a massive location of the era, from the crusades to the new world. Also why Spain and not Castile if your doing Normans but not England or France
