Which would you prefer to buy first? The syntakt, digitakt, or the digitone?

The syntakt is nice but pointless if you already have certain other Elektron boxes. It is just some of the analog rytm with some of the model cycles. Cool if you don’t already on a rytm but more concerning is that this has been a new trend in Elektron like how the Digitakt is basically just the sample engine from the analog rytm. If this was coming from a company like Korg or Roland I wouldn’t flinch but coming from Elektron which has brought us such legendary gear as the Machinedrum, Monomachine and Octatrack I’m afraid Elektron is no longer the boundary pushing left field brilliant company that it once was. It won’t matter to most people but the lack of innovation from a company that at one point I would have pre-ordered anything they made just from their announcement if they continue on this path it will be quite a fall from grace

AudioPilz and other users... I,m a DJ and i have a hardware proyect for lives but im totally lost about what equipment buy for add organic designed drums, bass, etc...to ny live set proyect. I want a sound somehow like Boys Noize from dance flor punch and the barroque design and swing of Floating Points, kind a IDM with the detroit techno spirit... Now i have a Roland DJ 505 for send midi clock, mix with another tracks and vocals with the integrate TR (very limitated) and one Roland S-1 for apply the bass and some air arpeggios and movement.....Is the modular way my best option? I love the Syntakt, but is a bad gear? guys im a very noob in harware midi production. I need do a techno and house jam with complex moving sound design...thanks

Now, I am considering swapping my Digitone out for a Syntakt.

Im getting a digitakt next to my digitone. The digitakt drums sound better to me then the syntakt. Dont know why. Maybe personal taste but they sound more gritty or real.

A month into making electronic music and my setup is a Syntakt controlling a Minilogue, Moog Grandmother, and a Roland TB-3. Riding that Bad Gear wave.

That's the probably the worst rim-shot I have ever heard.

The Syntakt is such an uninspiring box for me. I returned it after a couple of weeks. These "synth machines" are just limiting and gimmicky. I MUCH prefer Elektron's sample based machines.

The Rytm in the other hand is fantastic especially with the new update that dropped this week! Rytm and Octatrack are my favorite Elektron boxes.

So I watched your Digitone and Syntakt and I cannot decide which one could be more versatile. I have an Alesis SR 16 as well and it was wild to see you feed this into the Syntakt. I guess I’m trying to peel back, what do you have more fun with? The synthesis in Digitone or the clarity and versatility of the Syntakt? Both your videos were truly so grand it’s making it hard to decide which one to utilize 😅

Samples sind Leichen. Eins Sampler arbeitet mit Leichenteilen, arrangiert sie neu, clont sie… am Ende kommt irgendein seelenloses Monster raus. Langweilig. Bin froh, dass im Syntact keine Leichen-Machine drin ist 🧟‍♂️

Where can I get that American Chopper Nyquist meme?

It would have been so much cooler if it was the analogue section plus a sample player (like Model:Samples) instead of an analogue section plus FM. Like, when you add in the drums from the sample-based SR-16... that sounds great. I'd much prefer to have that kind of palette available inside the Syntakt than all the FM machines, but that's just me.

As a bass player looking to bring new sounds to my band... I might have to save up for this synth. I think I can make its forced monophony work in this context.

Man I'm so close to getting one and this hasn't really put me off it surprisingly.
I've got an EMX-1, my first piece of gear and I've been using it for years I love it to bits but Im a bit tired of the drums and wouldn't mind another synth. Pre much after something like an electribe and thiiiis seems like it'd be it. 
Im so used to just getting whatever gear I can scoop up from a pawn shop for cheap hopefully it'll be a worthwhile investment >_<
