Love seeing the signed Louder Than Love. In my crazy Soundgarden collection I have an import cd of Fell on Black Days that includes the track Kyle Petty, Son of Richard. I had Kyle sign it when we interviewed him for the BBC on a special for the Richard Petty Driving Experience. He was a very close friend of Chris and would invite him to races in California.
ОтветитьYou look like an Amy. Beautiful Blonde Hair & Blue Eyes. Can see why u kept most of these.
ОтветитьWhat a spectacular haul! Dreaming of a self-titled AIC someday as well, but a signed one? Next level
ОтветитьA lot of grunge gems you got there. Amazing Mother Love Bone! I'm happy you were able to add that to the collection and a promo! I need an og copy myself. Did he have the Deep Six comp? That's a grunge grail as well.
ОтветитьMan, that Sin-e box…lucky
ОтветитьNice to see the Cure in here. There was no 1990s U.S. “OG” vinyl version of Wish (nor Show or Paris) so you must have a UK or other release.
ОтветитьEpic . Signed louder 🤯 just awesome.
ОтветитьYou now have to get into the old school Seattle metal records... These were the roots that set the stage for the Grunge era... Examples... Forced Entry, Metal Church, Panic, My Sisters Machine, Mistrust etc...
ОтветитьCame for the records, stayed for the awesome couch.
ОтветитьSuch amazing stuff 🔥 thanks very much and enjoy spinning!
ОтветитьI've bought out collections in the past, but nothing close to the caliber of this one. Congrats on making that deal happen!
ОтветитьYou hit the nail on the head... Too many amazing, talented people in that stack gone far too soon!!
That OG Mother Love Bone - Apple is tremendous! Congrats on that score.
Nice keepers! All of them
ОтветитьWow you're sorted for grunge! I recently read Steve Turner from Mudhoney's book and there are so many more lesser known Seattle bands he mentions that I need to track down. The U-men & Fastbacks are at the top of my list. Played chess ha, ha. That is a great photo too. Signed Loud Love woah!! My favourite Soundgarden record. The first 5 Church records are brilliant. Some amazing OG hip hop records too. Cheers...Ben
ОтветитьGet those signatures certified before you frame them. Will make them extra nice.
ОтветитьNice !
ОтветитьHey Amy, you ever come across/sell any Gits?
ОтветитьGood lord! Those would be dream pieces in my collection. Party On, Dude!!😎🎸
Ответитьwhat time is the auction on the 30th?
ОтветитьI own a milk crate full of 90s vinyl all originals... Cranberries soundgarden foo fighters Nirvana Peral jam Veruca Salt etc
ОтветитьHi just wanted to ask what is the Big Lebowski item next to you ?
ОтветитьI've been collecting since I was in high school but...
...that was 50 years ago
If you livin’ in the world today / You be hearing the slang that the Wu-Tang say!
Brilliant album by GZA. And a signed OG original at that? So jealous.
Very impressive! The 1990s are especially challenging to collect OGs for, given that U.S. pressed vinyl went so far underground during that entire decade.
ОтветитьI love seeing OG pressing grunge and wow you had some epic ones there. Got a few of them myself but no chance getting some of those amazing finds.
ОтветитьEpic. I would have saved that Stone Temple Pilots -Tiny Music
ОтветитьDamn bringing out the big guns 🔫 😳
ОтветитьI've seen copies of Apple but I assume they are all unofficial....
ОтветитьI was 1 of 12 people who actually wanted new vinyl in the 90s lol. By 1990, vinyl was all but gone from stores. 2 things - very few stores actually carried a lot of new records, 90s records were mostly mail order. 12inch singles were fairly easy to find, but thats about it. When you DID see a brand new vinyl in a store, you grabbed it. Chain record stores would bring in a new vinyl every once in a while, as a novelty. They were super cheap. I got Dirt and Jar of Flies 8.99 back then. I got Cure Wild Moodswings and Bloodflowers for $10 each new, i think Wish was UKonly. I got Hunger Strike on UK12" w/poster, but never found the full vinyl
ОтветитьSome great albums … love finding rare albums 🎉🎉
ОтветитьGreat records.
Keep digging!
What wonderful gems! Both Surfa Rosa and Doolittle MoFi cuts sound great. I have a feeling you’ll keep the MoFi 😉
Wonderful haul you’ve scored. Enjoy those precious gems 💎 🎶
Love the Alice in chains stuff but their debut was not Tripod it was Facelift. Tripod was their last full length studio album
ОтветитьI am nearly 52 now, and have yet to change my mind on the 1990s. Music turned to shit overnight, even if grunge only lasted for maybe four years.
ОтветитьI'm not really a grunge fan. I lean pop/rock and Jazz. But, boy, I wouldn't mind finding another one of those Temple of the Dog.
ОтветитьVinyl is dead, pass it on.
ОтветитьGood stuff. That temple of the dog record 🥵
ОтветитьEverything you kept was gold, but that signed Soundgarden! Wow!!
Ответитьhad that original promo of 3 feet high, but had to get rid of it when the reissue came out since the og is on one disc and is way too long for one disc and sounds dreadful.
ОтветитьLoved your video. My collection is mostly classic rock, metal and prog so I find the albums you show fascinating as in most cases I have never seen them before and I am always open to discover what other people love. Anyway today I went into a small record shop here in Alicante, Spain and right in front of me was a 2nd hand copy of Mother Love Bone - Apple for 20 euros. I had no idea what it would sound like, but if you kept it for your own collection it´s got to be good so i bought it blind. I love it and it is a great addition to my collection. According to discogs, it looks like what I have is a Europe 2020 unofficial reissue on black vinyl. I would have preferred an original like yours but am happy with this copy. Thanks for the recommendation.
ОтветитьJeff Buckley RIP 28 years ago on May 29th.
Sin:e is a classic live record. The Deluxe/Legacy CD edition also is essential for fans.
It sucks that the 90s had the best music but had a lapse in vinyl availability and quality.
ОтветитьAIC self-titled is holy grail material. I see the mad season hanging up. Is that not for sale anymore? I missed the Friday auction
ОтветитьDamn, some HEAT here 🔥
ОтветитьSo many gems! Promos! Signatures! And some amazing titles! Congrats. By the way, That sofa is amazing and takes me BACK - Love the little stinger you made with it. Oh and I can I also say, lighting looks great! Best from Tokyo!
ОтветитьMy Liquid Swords OG is the pride of my collection too... but it sure as sht is not signed! That's so dope
ОтветитьLove that some are signed!
