my Honourable Teacher, can i say like this .I neither went to Beach, nor i went Home and i use two independent clauses, please give good example

I hate to be pedantic, but 'after going to the cinema' is not a subordinate clause. It is a prepositional phrase acting as an adverb. 'Who I met ' should be ' whom I met'. As usual, this is a great lesson.

Surely using the coordinating conjunctions also turns an independent clause into a dependent one? For example, "But I am happy". Is that not a dependent clause?
