Great video. I think you guys should include these instructions with the product. We've had our warmer for almost 2 years and we never knew how to use it properly until watching this video.
ОтветитьI bought one of these things - it took me 2 hours of soaking it with Goo-Gone to get the GODDAM PAPER LABEL OFF!
Ответитьon the top of the lid, where the peppers are....should say LID NOT MICROWAVABLE! Damn lid is melted shut with the last of my tortillas! 😲😤😠
ОтветитьNo No No No! Microwaved tortillas??? The horror...the travesty!! Tortillas should be heated on a hot plate or my preferred method, directly on the burner. Shame on you!!
Ответитьhow to open it when it got sealed in the microwave
Ответитьnever knew that. wish I knew 20 years ago. damn. lmao
ОтветитьI use this all the time it’s great as a dispenser and holder at a BBQ party
ОтветитьWhen the lid became stuck (lid on in microwave) I got it to come apart by 1) placing warmer in a pot that was slightly larger than the warmer. 2) I filled pot with water. Warmer floated off the bottom. 3) I put enough water in the pot to keep warmer off the bottom of the pot and brought the pot water to a boil. I let it boil around the warmer for about 20 minutes. 4) Then I took the warmer out with over mits and a slotted spoon, put it on a dish towel, worked into the seam the blade of a flat head screwdriver and was able to pry the lid up slowly, twisting the screwdriver blade to pry upwards and moving all around it with the screwdriver. It could take a little longer than 20 minutes to get the contents inside hot enough to release the lid, but as long as there is sufficient water in the pot (I added boiling water once) nothing should be hurt by this method. The contents of the warmer were fine, piping hot too.
ОтветитьI've been using this wrong for a long time
Ответитьglad I searched for this first, doesn't say on the product that the lid is not microwaveable! Also how many tortillas at a time?
ОтветитьWhy the fuck is the lid different from the body??!!??
ОтветитьI have the same tortilla warmer
ОтветитьOur lid was stuck for the container because the steam was suctioned to it. To get it out we got a paper clip and used the end of it to poke a hole. First, we took of a thin piece of plastic surrounding the paper clip. That way we can use the metal part to poke through. Then we got a candle and heated up the end of the paperclip so it can melt a hole through the side of the container. We just kept heating it, poking through the hole, and repeat. Eventually the hole was deep enough to poke all the way through. Then we could hear the steam coming out of the container. We pulled the lid and it came off. Hopefully this helps anyone else with the same problem.
ОтветитьDon't forget ! Your not a Texan, Not even a Mexican! If you don't use WHITE WING FLOUR! ITs the only thing that make a PREFECT HOME MADE TORTILLA
ОтветитьCan I keep it on a heating rack on the low side of my 48” blackstone griddle? I’m cooking for a lot of people this weekend and I’ll be using two of these in rotation until the proteins are gone
ОтветитьMexican here,
please do not microwave your tortillas. turn on the stove top and use a comal (it's flat pan that you use to heat tortillas). for flour you can just put them straight on, for corn ever so lightly wipe some water on both sides and then trow them on. using too much water will make them stick and be soggy. make sure yo flip them so that both sides are evenly heated and the do not burn. once they are heated put them in a cloth and set them in the warmer. repeat this for however many you need and enjoy you tortillas.
Super helpful! I just got this tortilla warmer from Amazon and will be using it for the first time today. Thanks for the tips! ❤
ОтветитьJust say no to plastic.
ОтветитьThis is pro Mexican food.
ОтветитьI just received a tortilla/pancake warmer from Amazon this afternoon, and I'll be using it today making shredded beef tacos along with homemade salsa. Thanks for this much needed information.
ОтветитьCan you do a NO ANNOYING BACKGROUND MUSIC 🎶 version?
ОтветитьFunny I almost bought this at my grocery store 😅
ОтветитьLids not microwave safe...but it's made of the same resin the base is...🤨🤨🤨
ОтветитьThank you ❤
ОтветитьIs there an alternate way of warming it if you don’t have a working microwave oven? I ran it under the hot water and put it in oven at 140°F.
ОтветитьI love my tortilla warmer; not only is it good to keep my tortillas warm, I also use it as a sushi oke to make sushi rice. Great kitchen item!!
ОтветитьNo offense, but I bought this very warmer and it does not keep the tortillas warm except for the very first one. Each lid lift lets warmth rush out, so by the time I get to the 3rd one, it is cooler than my hand. Unless I leave the lid on the warmer (with a toothpick under the lid side edge so it doesn't vacuum seal), too much heat is already wasted. It's so frustrating for my purposes, I stopped using it. Also, the lid finger tip handle is just not big enough for my arthritic hands. Yes, I did try wrapping the tortillas in a kitchen towel in the warmer and in another around the outside: only a tiny bit helpful. Oh well.
