What is the threading on the screws?

After watching this video I feel really stupid for not putting this thing on for 12 years. After seeing how many times this video has been viewed, I don't feel so dumb any more. Thanks

Spent A LOT of time trying to put the kickplate back on. Would have never done it right without the video. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

For me, the screw holes on the kick plate were not lining up with the holes on the dishwasher. I couple of good hard whacks on the legs of the dishwasher did the trick.

what's the other, smaller, rectangular plate for (also black)?
