The emperor has no clothes
ОтветитьWtf
ОтветитьI don't get it
ОтветитьMy Peavey Classic 20 with a Boss SD-1 in front of it gets 99% of the way there for <500$.
ОтветитьI don't deny that Dumbles sound great. I do deny that they are remotely worth the price tag.
ОтветитьIf you like the tone, there are plenty of Dumble clones available.
ОтветитьWhat robber ford song is this
ОтветитьWhat gets me is much as I like Ford's tone, he doesn't use the mid boost which is what gives a Dumble it's uniqueness.Without it sounds like a Fender with some of the midrange back. Yea they sound great, probably my favorite amp tone but over a hundred G's no.
ОтветитьIt's a fine tone, but not nearly worth the asking price of these amps.
ОтветитьThis comment section is making me appreciate how much amp modeling and sims have spoiled us as a community. This would have been considered godly tone just a few years ago but now that it can be achieved for a few hundred bucks, guitarists revel in tearing it down as “hype”. We can’t forget that these amps really were something special not too long ago
ОтветитьI get there with the van weelden royal overdrive thru my deluxe reverb and 335. Alot of a persons tone is in their hands, the way they pick using pick with fingers etc. Gear is part of the equation, but Robben Ford sounds like himself through whatever he plays, wether its his Dumble or a Zendrive into a Fender amp.
ОтветитьSounds like a TR with a speaker with a burnt come...
ОтветитьI can get he same tone from my Boss Katana
ОтветитьThe only reason this costs $100k is that billionaires play guitar, too.
ОтветитьSounds like a line6
ОтветитьI dont like the tone. Sounds like a Fender with cold. Not my cup of tea.
ОтветитьMy Mesa express can do that
ОтветитьI was hoping for a reveal that it was actually one of their pedals
ОтветитьI had my Pro Jr amp gutted and rewired with a Dumble type circuitry along with a cascode gain stage. Pretty happy with it. I should have paid thousands for what my amp tech did for me. I will never give up this amp or divulge its secrets.
ОтветитьRobbin gets better tone from his Dumble but that has a lot to do with Robbin..
ОтветитьSounds great, but it’s not that great. Not $100,000 great. No way! I’ve been playing for thirty years. There are no magic amplifiers. There are no magic guitars. There are no magic pedals. There is simply quality and crap. It’s all about your set up and how you play. If you spend hours upon hours obsessing over amps, guitars, pedals, cables , so on, then you aren’t practicing. And if you aren’t practicing then you aren’t getting better. You could plug into a Dumble and yes you will still sound like 💩. Sorry 😊
ОтветитьThat's a very open, dynamic overdrive channel
ОтветитьI don’t get it
Ответитьceriatone, bludotone, red plate and other great clones out there
ОтветитьBro it doesn't even slam
ОтветитьAm i the only person experiencing something epic?
ОтветитьCan't figure out if the amp or you sounds like a$$
ОтветитьVery boring sounding amp
ОтветитьI feel like you gotta be in the room with the amp to get the little extras that make an amp special. There's little rings and sizzles and snaps that don't translate on video.
ОтветитьHow can a box of electrical components be so expensive?
And anyway, to my "60 year old jazz guitarist ears", it sounds quite a bit like a tube screamer 😊
Ugh, such a sweet tone.
ОтветитьRobben Ford.....his overdrive tone is the only one that doesn't assault my ears. Tone and tasty licks....that's why he is my favorite blues guitarist.
ОтветитьI hate to tell you brother, that’s sounds like shit… It might be rare and look pretty, but it’s a terrible amp…. Some of the vintage Fenders I get, but this ain’t it….
ОтветитьPretty ordinary, any Marshall would crucify it
ОтветитьWhat is the name of the tune?
ОтветитьWho cares already. I’m so sick of this annoying fetish
ОтветитьI just sat on the floor on front of a fender twin he played through, was pretty harsh, still I‘d be thrilled to play half as good at his age.
ОтветитьYou can’t always tell what a Dumble will do from a recording. Each was made to what a guitarist wanted for his own playing. Nothing can match the clean overhead of some Dumbles. But for the best guitarists in the world they are willing to pay the price. Most of these are on their second or third artist. I heard one just went for 450,000.
ОтветитьHuh. It sounds exactly like my Burny Super Grade through my J Rockett "The Dude" pedal into my home built 5E3 clone.
Ответить"Don't take me alive" and a ton of others. Larry Carlton lead tone
ОтветитьMy Dr Z MAZ 18 MKII will do that with ease playing into a 1 X 12 with a Jensen Blackbird
ОтветитьDumbles OD specials are so stiff (not touch responsive) dry, sterile and cold sounding amps that I still don’t get it why people worship them, they are closer to transistor amps to my ears
ОтветитьIt ain’t Wonderwall is it!!
ОтветитьI’m sorry to break it to you, but that’s not the Robben Ford that’s Larry Carlton my friend which is a different sounding Dumble, It does sound like Carlton
ОтветитьAm I the only one who wants more gain on his overdrive?
ОтветитьSweet
ОтветитьJust buy a M/B Mark amp and you get all these tones and more. The only thing special is that they were custom made for celebrities.
Ответитьthe bark tone can be gotten with an ibanez tube screamer and any good quality amp
ОтветитьPlease! Grow up. It's an amp. It's not magic beans!
ОтветитьGreat effin tone. This is one of the summits for sure.
