I lusted after one of these dual drives back in the day for no good reason.

Back in my youth I lived near a Commodore dealer and software writer (damned if I can remember their name). I do remember that they offloaded work from the PET to CPUs in these external drives as they could both save memory and improve performance that way.

This drive was a big job. Literally.

My 8050 had the same issues: Filter burn up + 5 flashes! (although i only got the 5 flashes AFTER the filter popped)
I have 6502 & 901483-03 (6530) on order.
