just before memories of celceta released, the psp y's games were all 50% off making them $7.50 each. i didnt move on it but now im ready to get into the series. ive played the snes game back in the day and wasnt a fan

I played the 1987 version of Ys I on the Sega Master System when I was young. It was one of my favourite games ever! This year I downloaded this version off PSN onto my Vita, and wow. Just wow. What a game! It has been remade beautifully, and the music is awesome. They haven't changed the game layout or objectives much that much, just vastly modernised it. It's perfect! Well worth getting.

Please dont compare this version with the Master System! You maybe didn't played, but those are the one who made the BOOM! ...You should go with the Ys Book from PCE =(

Man! I ask myself why the fuck don't these games deserve enough goddamn western audiences? Some stupid bitch told me "my dad played ys and somehow I don't feel like playing it", well f*ck you. Most so-called rpg fans I talked to are so goddamn ignorant about Ys and Falcom that it pisses me off, "Never heard of Falcom, duh!" then doesn't give 2 shits anyway (my reaction to that is eat a d**k, moron). Lord Karnage, you however, get my respect for uploading Ys review videos. I wonder if you got Trails in the Sky video reviewed.

Mmm this game could be longer a little better great story line my style I play a lot of summon night yggdra union takes if phantasia dungeons and dragons medabots fire emblem golden sun lufia ruins shining soul etc and this game unfortunately wasn't good

Whaaaatt?! The treasure chest melody sounded JUST LIKE when you get an upgrade on Metroid. Still looks like a great game.

I think I'll pass on this. I was attracted by the fact that it's an old school RPG but it looks like this game literally has no battle system, just walking into enemies does not count as a battle system.
At least make it a single button press to swing your sword or something, then I'd have at least been interested. I love RPGs but lacking a battle system is not OK by me.

I picked up the Memories of Celceta and decided to play through every single one of them before giving it a try and so far, I'm hooked.

Ys, the one JRPG series that decides that standard battle music isn't good enough, so they put sick Rock style music for it all. I love it.

Ys I and II is one of the sad end game I ever play...... Well almost all ys game don't have happy end tho just sad..........those blue hair girl love adol but......at the end cannot live together

I thought Ys one was ok, but Ys 2 was terrible. The 2 very complicated maze dungeons ruined it for me. Mostly the final dungeon. It was the worst final dungeon I have ever experienced in gaming.
