The original Blade, for me is still one of the best comic book movies ever made. I don't understand why its so hard to reboot this franchise, other than Hollywood's diversity hiring has completely cratered the creative talent behind filmmaking.

Honestly, Blade's apprearance in D&W was pretty good closure. Going out as an O.G. Marvel merc that legit inspired both Wolvy and Deady (and Spidey during the Morbius comic-book saga, lol not affiliated with Morbin'-Time Movie Storyline sans Spider-Man) Blade was perfect and god bless Ryan Reynolds for getting this cameo turned into a 'Guardians of the Galaxy'-esque sendoff for MCU Blade that literally jump-started Superhero Movies (and vampire movies lol)

This just shows that there's nobody at the helm with a true vision for what the stories should even be. Ryan Reynolds was able to make Blade work alongside a dozen other ideas in Deadpool/Wolverine. But if you just go with marketing think-tank mindset, of course you'll get stuck in development hell.

I'd rather see continual delays and cancelations (like Star Wars movies) than bad Marvel movies (or any bad movie).

I can tell you were it is, it was totally redone. this further proves that leak about blade taking the back seat in his own movie to be replaced by 2 to 3 main female leads instead was true. they were going to turn it into another ''modern audience movie'' but after the backlash it had over that leak and the other failed projects with the same idea, they ad too totaly scrap it and are now being forced to redo it which means they can't keep up with the initial release date. it will take another few years before we get it now if ever.

What's funny is that if they have ELSA BLOODSTONE who they could have used to please their phantom audience and nobody would care if she was made black!

Mahershala Ali would likely do a great job if he had a good script and director. The only problem is Disney would need to produce a good script, and use a competent director.

They are hung up on the Blade Movie because they want to replace Blade with his daughter and her friends. The delay has nothing to do with Blade's ethnicity. I think WDWPro or someone else documented the various script attempts where they keep trying to have Blade replaced by his daughter.

If they hadn’t already ruined Doctor Strange, this could have been a slam dunk. Blade and the Sorcerer Supreme taking down vampires. Boom.
