So informative, thank you!
ОтветитьAll your courses are informative, fun and you have a very reassuring voice. I’ve learnt so much about colour and value and I can’t wait to have a go at this!
ОтветитьDo most of these tips apply to oils as well? Ty
ОтветитьThank you so much, Master! I really needed this tutorial now! I am stuck with my idyllic Lake District landscape with the 7 sheep... cannot get to like it whatever I change. I think this video gave me some ideas.🥰❤️❤️
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьLove how you make a dull reference so vibrant. I need to try thid & stop playing it safe. Thankyou.
ОтветитьI love to watch you paint, and thank you for your wonderful videos! Beautiful painting!
ОтветитьThank you…I will watch this many times, I’m sure. I love your brush strokes, they’re so informed!
ОтветитьThank you for inspiration and your calm way to teach. After watching several of your videos I just had to try painting impasto and it came out surprisingly good and now I love this technique more than any ! 🙏
ОтветитьGreat looking, happy painting thank you Malcolm. I’m really inspired to take a “risk” in my current rather washed out looking painting😂😂. You make it look so easy, but I know this comes from years of practice! One day ……….. thanks for the encouragement!
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьThank you Malcolm for this demo. You have made a simple reference look so beautiful and vibrant. I have never felt comfortable with acrylics, but would love to try this.
ОтветитьExcellent video Malcolm! Great instruction showing your process from beginning to end.
It was very helpful that you showed the change in the sky at the beginning. How you felt it wasn’t conveying correctly the way you wanted and easily changed it demonstrating how it is just part of the painting process, not a mistake.
Your videos are always well done and packed full of great content. 🎨🖌️
Very good demonstration Malcolm. Was it filmed in real time or speeded up a little in the edit?
ОтветитьEnjoy your tutorials so much! I recently had the pleasure of seeing a Georgia O'Keeffe exhibit in Montreal. I have irises blooming in my garden so am motivated to try painting them. Question - how on earth does she get those lights to pop like that? Her whites look like they are backlit.
ОтветитьBeautiful!
ОтветитьAmazing! So cool to see your thought process on how to make your reference picture fit your needs.
ОтветитьThe simplified shapes and hues and brushstrokes are amazing! The loose effect is very nice.
ОтветитьBeautiful, Malcolm, and so clearly shown. Thank you.
ОтветитьI’m so happy to have found your channel. I love your teaching style. I’m actually grasping it and I love that you start with a red canvas.
Greetings from California 🙏🏻🌺
So good to see you painting with acrylics and creating such fabulous colors. Thanku again Malcolm ❤
ОтветитьDo you ever paint Oils over the Acrylics?
ОтветитьYou are such a great teacher
ОтветитьThank you! That heat is lovely in the painting.
ОтветитьIt's beautiful and great for the seeing bringing joy and relaxation.🎉
Ответитьluv luv your new colours thank you so much as always for sharing so kindly
ОтветитьNever thought to use the reference as a basis only giving opportunity to put your self into the painting . Don't need to slavishly follow the reference
Thanks
David
It is a delight as usual, replaced my desert :). I have a similar reference photo that I think could be use it in this way, but with oil or gouache or oil pastel .... hope I overcome my procrastination. Thank you.
ОтветитьExcellent class. ❤
ОтветитьThese colors are nice and vibrant, looks very interesting
ОтветитьBeautifully vibrant and diverse colours that create an exciting visual experience. Lovely.
ОтветитьBravo! Very inspiring. I can see why my work gets so messy. Your demonstration is a brilliant example of practicing restraint and the thoughtful, careful placement of colour.
ОтветитьI really loved this! I don’t have any acrylics, but I do have oils right now. I will follow your tutorial with the oils! beautiful job painting and excellent job, Teaching! Thank you.
ОтветитьI would never have imagined using that photo for a reference. It’s bland and boring. However, what you have done with it blows my mind. I will definitely have to be braver with color and shapes in the future. Very inspiring.
ОтветитьDo u use water
ОтветитьI love how you can see something totally more than is in the reference!
ОтветитьI usually use a red/orange color as under painting, because I’ve been practicing summer landscape scenes. If I wanted to cool things down, would it be useful to use much cooler red/violet as under painting??
ОтветитьThanks
Ответитьamazing results !
ОтветитьThis video is amazing. I'm a 26 year old that lost my ability to paint due to arthritis at 22, and picking it back up has been so hard. I'd gotten rusty at the things that made art so fun like this. Thank you. :)
ОтветитьMalcolm, your painting is amazing every time! Thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьThanks so much, bestest...
ОтветитьNicely done. 😊
ОтветитьI learn a lot from your demonstration in this video. Thank you so much.
ОтветитьSo helpful. Thanks
ОтветитьI don't think your intention in this video was to invoke laughter from your viewers, but I busted out in laughter during the narration. Your art is fantastic but you truly captured the self talk we experience in the moment. The tension and stress of rapid decision making and reassuring ourselves we can still recover! I'm so glad I found your channel. What a delightful and insightful teacher you are!
ОтветитьI really enjoy watching your process and you are a true master in color mixing - e.g. I sdmire your Way of mixing your own Greens and your sensitive feeling into the warm-cool variations, the bright or muted Down, the lights and Darks together with you live , brushstrokes and your variations on hard and soft edges - i love the inspiration and I also love the subtle dance between figurative, representational and abstract 😊🙃🎶🩷🎵
ОтветитьAcrylics are really exhausting me. You really know how to work these acrylics. Strokes are magical
ОтветитьOhI love this painting…
