God Bless The Savoys
ОтветитьGreat piece, thank you for showing our culture. More of this.
ОтветитьIt’s so amazing to see my home get the recognition it needs and deserves!!!
ОтветитьI’m 51, retirement was becoming a big concern for me, I started watching your Videos just a month ago, took your advice on your previous video, and reached out to Cara Wiese. With her guidance, I opened my account and funded it with $9,000. Today, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve reached one of my milestones, $98,450. I’m incredibly grateful to you and Cara for helping me shift my mindset and act. Thank you 💯
ОтветитьC’est de la belle musique . Dommage que le francais ne se parle plus en Louisiane
Ответить¡c'est bon!
ОтветитьSo when can we expect to see the IRS Investigation episode that you replaced w this one.. asking for Democracy..
Ответитьhow can you not tap your toe bob your head to a zydeco tune.growing up in Texas its always been a part of my life. Thanks mom
ОтветитьThis used to be a good show. Now I’m lucky to stay tuned in for 30 minutes. They should stick to these type of stories and stay out of politics. Maybe it can regains credibility.
ОтветитьLiving's easy? Are you sure you went to Louisiana?
ОтветитьHilarious! As we move back to 1940's America politically, so we are culturally apparently!
ОтветитьThank you for sharing our culture and music!
Ответить20 BBBBBBBBillion dolllllllllaaaahhhs!!! Trump gonna stomp tf outta CBS!! CEO gone, staffers gone…..😂😂😂😂😂😂

ОтветитьLove my music, food, culture. I want to learn our language. Great segment!!
ОтветитьNot a single mention of Doug Kershaw...
ОтветитьS/o to arnaudville 😎
ОтветитьPopular music becomes overproduced, unauthentic, and boring. So it always searches out "niche" sounds - they love old folk styles, already time-rested, and a free new set list. But before long they have to "personalize" it, evolve it and "fusion" it into whatever they already play. They take it over, popularize it - and make it overproduced, unauthentic, and boring. They've done it to Country music, Irish, even Sea Chanties. Hope they don't ruin Cajun too!
ОтветитьOh, gee, Cajun music and culture has been rediscovered - again. It never disappeared, folks.
ОтветитьThis is wonderful...and about time the rest of the country took notice! Fantastic Story.
ОтветитьJust the title of this video shows how narrow minded and up their own backsides these people are
ОтветитьAccadian.
ОтветитьKeith Franks said....HaterZ !
ОтветитьI grew up in Beaumont TX in the 90s, and Zydeco has always been around. If you know where that’s at then you know. Laissez les bons temps rouler!
ОтветитьHow can something be "very unique?"
ОтветитьGit genuine
ОтветитьY'all are making me miss Houston! I think zydeco is more popular in H-town than in Louisiana.
ОтветитьWhy would this be unlikely? It has always been a great thing.🦇
ОтветитьCBS has kissed the ring and took the knee. What else is new? Did they sign a cooperation agreement?
ОтветитьIf you want one of the most beautiful Cajun songs listen to Sunset by Amede Ardoin. Happy one step by Dennis McGee is a gem also.
ОтветитьI'm reminded of David Lindley.
ОтветитьPrefer Zydeco
ОтветитьMake Louisiana Great Again
ОтветитьLove zydeco! The DMV’s on-air, weekly, zydeco program has been off the air for years.
ОтветитьI'm almost ready to get back to watching 60 Minutes every single Sunday evening...as I used to do before the politics took control. CBS Sunday Morning and 60 Minutes were at one time a unifying source of education.
ОтветитьI love Marc and Ann in the Les Blanc docs. Very genuine people who are incredibly passionate about preserving all things Cajun culture. “When you really love something you don’t change it, you leave it alone”
-Marc Savoy
Cajuns are the most fun people in the world IMO love from the Texas coast.
ОтветитьThere have been Zydeco and Cajan bands in NYC for all LONG time!!! Everything old is new again.🎉
ОтветитьThe Spanish let them settle in Louisiana. You didn't mention the facts. As fellow Catholics they gave them shelter since the Anglo Protestant East Coast colonies refused them entrance.
ОтветитьI don't like golf,
and I don't like swimmin...
I've always felt different being of Cajun heritage from both sides of my family but living out of Louisiana. All my family speaks Cajun and there I am a Landry without his culture
ОтветитьMy parents were from St. Landry Parish, born and raised on Bayou Courtableau. They had to translate for me and my siblings to be able to communicate with my grandparents. My last one passed away in the '80s. Me and my siblings spent many weekends with that grandmother, without our translaters. We could'nt speak a word of French and she could'nt speak a word of English but we both understood the language of love and those weekends are some of my most cherrished memories of my life. I feel honored to have witnessed that living history. ❤
ОтветитьThe music of the most racist electorate in the country. I am Cajun, and this cacaphony is easy to dump.
ОтветитьExcellent piece! As a Texan, I’m lucky it’s a 30 minute drive to enjoy SW Louisiana!
