huge distributors with tons of companies getting decks from them.

I like to make my own deck graphics, so first I bought a mini logo from Zumiez and did stuff with it, then realized I can just sandpaper down the graphic on any board and start fresh on it. So I've only bought from my local shop from then on

Wrong, its the graphic that doesn't matter, and some skater owned shop decks are terrible quality blanks with logos screen printed. The best brand of skate decks are any company that uses BBS wood, or Watson Laminates, or PS. Do your homework.

For those who just want someone to pick a board for them just get a primitive, spitfire, toymachine, baker, or any pro skater brand board personally because i like the designs but he is right tho cuz the difference isnt too bad just if you want cooler designs just get a skate team owned brand etc.

By local shop boards! Same wood, pretty much the same shape, and cheaper than the big brands! Once you get good enough to where you start buying boards often just buy your favorite skaters decks (they get royalties) STAY OUT OF THE MALLS!!!

20 years ago i was always a alien workshop rider

I started skating on a £30 complete that I put cruiser wheels and decent bearings on so I could ride around everywhere and get comfortable on it. Did the job for me.

I personally can recommend chocolate, baker, enjoi, element and zero decks the most. My favourite of these is zero though

Lil tip if you are experimenting to see if u want to skateboard for a long time then get like a cheap 20 dollar wallmart board

Avoid the cheap shit from Walmart. Get a blank deck from a skate shop and some decent trucks and bearings. Will cost more than Walmart garbage and less than a “pro complete” and you’ll most certainly be able to progress much faster.

Generally it doesn’t really matter bc most of them will feel the same anyway. There is only slight differences between brands and you’ll only feel it if you’ve been skating for years. Even then it’s all about personal preference.
