I do follow a ketogenic diet. I use the blood ketone strips to test regularly and once you are fat adapted, you feel great. I CrossFit and I have gotten stronger and my engine is fine.

Informative, thoughtful, balanced. I find the potty mouth a bit off putting. Good though. Earned a like.

What about the research that shows that "clean" eaters actually have a worse relationship with food rather than someone who practices flexible nutrition and allows an occasional "treat" here an there. "Clean" eating isn't sustainable for majority of people. Flexible nutrition with calories, protein, and fiber in check will allow for sustainable micronutrients but allow sustainability because you don't withholds foods because they aren't "clean"

New article on Vitamin D suggests we are getting too much. Only recommended to get less than 1000 IU daily.

I have been maintaining my nutrition (monitoring macro ratios every day, adding veggies to every meal more and more. Not very good at that yet) for a while, and have been taking what I have been calling a "cheat day" every 30 days if I earn it. If I brutally miss my macro goals or eat a crappy meal (haven't done the latter yet), I'll push the "cheat" back 7 days. It is of weakness, but I crave crappy foods when everyone else around me is eating them. I resist, knowing that I have that cheat coming up in a few weeks. I have felt that my cheat protocol has been effective, as it satisfies my cravings I have had for that month, and makes me feel terribly and reminds me why I don't eat that way.

However, is this something I shouldn't do? Should I just get rid of my cheat all together? It has become an ordeal for me and my wife, something we look forward to for weeks and use as motivation to keep clean with micro and macro nutrients. However, if it is really detrimental to progress, we can get rid of it.

Typical cheat- local diner stack of pancakes w/ peanut butter and syrup, and then pizza or pizza rolls with some greek ranch or something.

Thanks guys! I love watching and listening to your podcast. Helps keep my mind right. DolceDiet also got a new subscriber

this guy is certainly passionate, but is misinformed in a few areas, and some of his principles are extreme/overblown/exaggerated

Struggled to finish this due to the unnecessary and excessive foul language. Good info but I could get 15min of my life back if you cut out all the F-bombs.

I wish he had a diet for his language, such great diet information but the language is so incredibly offensive and does not strengthen his message at all. I wise man once said that the use of profanity is an attempt of a weak mind (at least in vocabulary) trying to appear strong. Would not share this with my family just because of the language.
