Hi Sir, first at all thank you for your video, really useful. About the tibia cut, why you put the guide in valgus? I mean if you want to do a mechanical alignment it should be at 0..in my experience lots of surgeon do the opposite of you, they put the guide in slightly varus to imitate the anatomical alignment of the joint line.. thank you

That was a seriously arthritic knee! All I had on both of mine was bone on bone on the medial side and a bright line on the tibia on the other side of both knees that had space in between the femur and tibia. Plus bone spurs all over the place including the kneecap. I had “bone marrow edema” listed on both knees before getting replaced, so I probably had holes in them with some pus. Or maybe that’s just the bright lines on the x-rays.

I’m so glad I had both done, but to this day with two years out on the right knee and one year on the left knee, I still can’t run at all, but can walk straight, just with two weak thighs. I don’t want to run, but what if a bear or alligator chases me? 😊
