I met Allen Iverson at this exact same spot.
ОтветитьJeff..I want to deeply ThankYou for your passion and research into History..Wow!! You take me to places that I never knew existed..like the Iverson Movie Ranch. THANKYOU!!
I am curious about something..there is a film location..I believe it might be in Arizona..several of the B Hollywood movies and shows were filmed in that area..it has Very steep jagged hills and Boulders..
Tombstone Territory was apparently filmed there..a Star Trek scene was there..Glen Ford and Chad Everette filmed a Movie there..maybe someday you can bring us to That location and give some History about it.
Please..Please..Never stop your Amazing work.!.I'm HOOKED on your show!..they should give you your own Television show!
God bless Bless You!!
Tess in Kansas City
That is pitiful to destroy such scenery with condos the greed never ends
ОтветитьI have only recently discovered your channel, and I'm already a fan. Your attention to research is much appreciated, and results in a most informative session. In this video I especially enjoyed the Lone Ranger rock, due to my devotion to him when I was a kid. Thanks.
ОтветитьThank you Jeff and Sarah for the great video. Even though I grew up in Australia I remember watching so many of those shows. Your video bought back so many precious memories of growing up in simpler times. Just love all your videos. 🇦🇺🦘🐨🇦🇺
Ответитьbut did you eat at the Munch Box?
ОтветитьVery cool to see these movie and TV shooting locations.
ОтветитьAlways long time Lone Ranger fan....now when watching westerns i will be looking at specific terrain
ОтветитьThis place is beautiful
ОтветитьWow, crazy how many movies were made there. When you mentioned garden of the gods, I immediately thought of Colorado and wondered if there was a connection. Well now I know! Thanks for another interesting episode Jeff and Sarah 🙏
ОтветитьThanks for the Tv shows trip.
ОтветитьI from Australia 🇦🇺 really enjoyed this episode
Ответитьextremely interesting. You guys did a wonderful job. In the late 50's my folks took us to see the "Lone Ranger Ranch". That's what we knew it called then. The "town" was there then and they performed stunts for the crowd. Did a quick draw with an audience member etc. As a kid (9 years old) it was very exciting, especially that I watched the show regularly.
ОтветитьI enjoy these types of videos, hope you produce more
ОтветитьImpeccable attention to detail, Jeff--unerring eye! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬
ОтветитьSo cool
ОтветитьAnother excellent video. I’ve been here a few times and you’ve pointed out so many things I’ve never know
ОтветитьGreat episode. I am one of those old ones that watched The Lone Ranger. Col to see the rock that Silver reared up at.. Also enjoyed seeing the Bonanza clips.
ОтветитьLiked how Sarah lite up when you mentioned the bathtub rock. She probably wouldn't have mind the a bath right about then. You shouldn't have said, you not cut for that! Seriously.
Can you get rid of Donald Trump's cap ads, PLEASE!
Wow What an interesting video....what ever in the world are those condos doing out among -those rocks is beyond my comprehension......you are such an interesting history hunter.....really love your videos....this one took a lot of effort to find the right pose and angle etc. Great job sir...great job
ОтветитьYou talked about "Tom Mix Rock," in Arizona, we have "Tom Mix Wash," where he was killed in a car wreck running from the police. I loved this history lesson. It's a shame "progress" ruined so much of those Hollywood" historical places. Thanks for your tireless effort you must have put into this episode. Great job, Jeff.
Ответитьnever heard of this place thanks who lives in those condos
Ответитьhave you ever been to the old Bonanza ranch at Tahoe
ОтветитьI liked the tie in pictures where scenes were shot. I watch a lot of Westerns!
ОтветитьGreat Job Filming Jeff and enjoy it very much. keep up the good work.
ОтветитьJeff, it is disturbing to see those condos in the midst of all that movie history. They not only invade places where movie history has been made, but also render that area unusable for future movies. They don't film westerns any more, but you pointed out lots of movies that weren't westerns that were filmed there.
ОтветитьAMAZING! Keep up the great work!
ОтветитьI agree with the positive comments. Love how matched up the pictures and videos. The Buster Keaton bathtub hit a home run. I can’t believe there is anything left now. Just touching on Spahn Ranch was a classy act. New to your channel, so I’m trying to catch up on your videos. Thank you for all your hard work.
ОтветитьWhy in the world would they build condos right there ??😡
ОтветитьHate to say it , not a fan of developers over building calif., ( wish they hadn’t removed the one rock ) .. but those condos are in a great spot .. beautiful areas right in their backyard ! .. hopefully they are subscribers to your channel and appreciate the history..also glad those rocks haven’t been vandalized with graffiti!!
ОтветитьA big thumbs up and thank you for this video. I am a child of the Fifties , TV and Movie Westerns.
Good memories.
Greeting from MALAYSIA with love..i love history...done subscribe...
Ответить. Heavyset in all the right places, your Beautiful . gb* ~ it's a hard life, it's (MULDEW) .
ОтветитьHello Jeff,
Thank you so much for those lovely memories. I am a Western fan and a Bonanza fan, too. My husband and I live in Montreal, Canda. We're scheduled to visit Los Angeles this year, and I was hoping to find ahead some interesting sights where some of the Western movies/tv series were filmed. Well, you've made my day!
Hi there Jeff and Sarah....we watched this episode again because it is one of our favorites. Gary and I both grew up in the area surrounding this movie park. We went up to see it again after watching it the first time. We plan to go again soon though after all the rain we've had here lately. I'm anxious to see how much greener it should be by now. I noticed in your clips of the color movies it was so much greener then. Hope it is again. Thanks again for your great shows!
ОтветитьBrilliant......thanks Jeff and Sarah!!. We got all these iconic shows in the UK in the 50's and 60's. I loved all of them. Just an idea guys......how about showing us the where they filmed '' The Big Country''. Would love to see that ''Blanco Canyon''. That scene where the Colonel tells his men to ''mount up''.....and they ignore him. Then he rides off into the Canyon.......and they all follow him. Magnificent film work.!!!!!.
ОтветитьVisited Garden of the Gods in early July of all things! Learned so much more from you today. Thanks!
ОтветитьAlthough this vid is a couple of years old, I absolutely LOVE this channel.
I always try to keep up with new content, but am amazed at how many I have missed.
Thank you Jeff, my go to channel.
Cheers.
My great uncle was part of all this. I just wish I could have talked to him about all things things.but that opportunity has passed
ОтветитьYou two were so brave to walk through that area. It is loaded with rattlesnakes!!!
ОтветитьThanks very much. I grew up on many of those films and shows , fascinating to see the locations now. Well done.
ОтветитьOur local internet provider just added The Lone Ranger Channel, I'm enjoying the Channel more after watching your video on the film shooting sites, thanks!
ОтветитьJeff & Sarah.. I watched this video three years ago.. and tomorrow I help my girlfriend move into her new condo... In the middle of movie history! :)
Your channel is so good, love everything you guys do! Keep up the great work!
I wonder how anyone can live in that dried up Rocky area
Looks like there might of been a forest fire at some point
I used to hike and ride dirt bikes at Iverson Ranch in the late 60's. There was a a big barn which was part of the movie sets and various smaller buildings which all burned down in 1970 along with the movie sets at Corriganville and Sphan ranch. I met Stuart Whitman on the film set of Cimarron Strip. A TV western that was on for a couple years back then.
ОтветитьNice 👍
ОтветитьThis is just amazing!...so much movie and TV history, filmed in just a few acres of awesome land...The juxtaposition of those condos says so much of our strange, malleable and temporary culture and land development. I am 77 now, and remember every TV show you referenced...and I do wonder, if film crew encountered rattlesnakes, scorpions, etc while on the job! How about you two? I would never want to have a condo, so close to snake habitat...I live in Western Washington....no rattlers in our areas!
ОтветитьMy home area My family still owns a home up in the hills (purchased in 1940). Cool seeing it again.
ОтветитьThanks for taking us to these awesome places.
