Good video, but I have one comment:
The mix of different eras throughout is a little confusing. It would have been helpful to have the Germans and the French each fight or march in a fixed direction, i.e. the French from left to right and the Germans from right to left.

Das Lied entstand als unmittelbare Reaktion auf öffentliche Forderungen der französischen Regierung unter A. Thiers im Jahre 1840, den Rhein als Frankreichs Ostgrenze zu etablieren und damit die Ergebnisse des Wiener Kongresses zu revidieren (Rheinkriese).Thiers zielte damit auf das gesamt linke Rheinufer. Die Region war in der Franzosenzeit bereits von 1792 – 1814 französisch gewesen, der Rheinbund ab 1806 zeitweise Alliierter Frankreichs. Die linksrheinischen Gebiete waren 1815 größtenteils dem Deutschen Bund zugeschlagen worden. Das Lied thematisiert nicht nur eine abstrakte Idee, sondern außenpolitische Spannungen und handfeste Rüstungsanstrengungen.

I'm not German, I'm from Poland so in theory a opposite, but i have great respect to the Germans defending their Fatherland in 1944-45 and 1918. They didn't deserve what happend to them after both world wars.
