so what if the west managed to build a competiting EV battery factory? Who are they going to sell to? they can't compete in prices
ОтветитьThere is this journalist writing stories about ”green bubbles”, politically supported projects with tax money, that end in nothing. As can be expected, he is pronounced pariah by mainstream media. The latest of these projects in Sweden is a company that should make steel with hydrogen, it would use half of available electricity in Sweden.
ОтветитьEurope and America building batteries to compete against China would be like China building non-EV cars and compete against Europe.America,Japanese and Korean non-EV cars.
The result is obvious.
Thats the reason why the smart Chinese started the batteries and EV cars years ago.
I don't say others can't build EV car,etc , but one thing is for sure. They can never fight the Chinese on the price.
Business Tech news on the next level, 5 stars.
ОтветитьWhen China finds that it lacks or is behind any technology, equipment, fields, etc , the government and private sector will pour billions dollars and hundred thousands of engineers into it to solve problem.
Western countries just dont have that many of engineers just to solve a problem.
china is in decline 😢 Sad
ОтветитьHelping the world of 7 billion with lesser pollutions and emissions created by the west, 21,000 engineers isn’t too much at all.
ОтветитьWestern MSM, I mean propaganda machine, have done a great job in conning the masses and giving them false hope! They are also brainwashing the masses, giving them a false sense of security and safety, regarding the evil agenda of the Senile Joe regime for WWIII, using Ukraine!
Ответить🤭 If you work at battery industry or have high school chemistry you know that Tesla's battery 4680 is just a repackaged name for Panasonic batteries, 46 and 80 is actually the number of Panasonic cells and dimension of overall size of the cell
As a start up Tesla have ZERO battery Patents, Panasonic have over 20,000 from 30 years of R&D.
Tesla also used Toyota's manufacturing process yet quality and finishings still xxxx
NMC batteries are outdated and already being replaced by LFP batteries, and SS batteries aren't far from being mass produced. Looks like the toddler genius space Karen doesn't know shit about batteries 😁
ОтветитьYou also have a good sense of humor 😂.
ОтветитьEurope was late to the social media race and were following sheeps to Google, Faceook, Amazon, ebay, etc They were more interested in restoring the Notre Dame Cathedral and demanding early retirement. Don't expect much competition from the EU in electronics. Their erstwhile mammoth Phillips Electronics went bust.
ОтветитьTake it from a Long Shore Man !
ОтветитьMost of the factory workers in China get paid about as well as US factory workers. Factories aren’t in China for cheap labor, they are there because of supply chains China dominates and that’s where the skilled labor is.
ОтветитьThat's all true, but it shouldn't stop you trying. Barriers to entry are always touted by the incumbent. Costs and complicated tasks are standard fayre that they spout to try and scare people off. They also try to get regulatory body rules and government laws created to block you.
Meanwhile, the incumbents get set in their ways, fat and old (often, so do their management).
IBM was king of the hill, then Microsoft were the new kids who knocked them off their perch. Then MS got fat and old and Google knocked them off.
Now Google and Facebook are getting lax and slow to react. (it shows in their inability to deal with the IT industry's 20 year failing; The inability to fix caching issues dynamically. It shows in their programming.
Now the new ev, battery incumbents are running from the same playbook as all those that went before.
So keep at it. Your ideas are young, dynamic and fluid. When you enter the market, they are so big, they will be unable to react quickly enough.
You will become the new leader....their only choice to stop you will be to try to crush you or buy your company.
At that stage, you know they are scared, you have won. Then it's up to you which path you take.
they have far more engineers compare to the west, expect they will take lead in every industry.
ОтветитьElon would be smart to start selling his better packs to other automakers all he has to do is start another company call it tesla packs
Ответить"Globalization" was the west things initially. When it's not good for US, when China outplayed the game, US now talked "de-risk" and dragged the Europe into it. For years the Europe economy is falling as a result.
But it didn't affect US, US didn't try to rebuild supply chain at all. It just "allies-shoring", bought the products into US made/assemble in other countries but main components made by China, and in most case those were the China companies too.
A great year of reports thanks. Looking forward to spending time with you in 2025. Happy holidays.
Ответитьproof some politicians just talk shit about Green(and many other topics). They set target without having a plane.
ОтветитьGreat reporting that you don’t see in the mainstream news!
ОтветитьExcellent program. A pearl among swine. Well done!
ОтветитьBest for 2025.
ОтветитьAlot what you observed is common sense. It is the same as 10y ago, someone/Chinese starts Windows replacement from scratch, someone/Chinese starts networking gears replacement from scratch. They all know that's the hardest way and poised to fail, a clever strategy is definitely needed. Can see the West is desperate now, throwing every Euro or Pound into anything that stands a chance. BTW, if the Chief of a tech company can speak like Zeng, it is very hard to win them, that's the difference between succession in the East and West. We have even seen some new CEOs were lawyers, accountants, etc.
ОтветитьThe EU knew it has a long way to catch up to China in many things, with battery tech and EV among them. But it is almost unprecedented for a politicians to admit mistakes. So what do they do when they realized they had made a wrong turn at the "Y " fork? They blame someone for their incompetence.
Ursula Wonderlie is a classic example. She has forms, lots of it. She gave great speeches with exaggerated gesticulation, yet she talked siht. She blamed EU's failure on China's subsidies. Which government does not give its industry a leg-up? The tariffs are a form of leg-ups. The incentives provided by the British government mentioned in this excellent report is also a subsidy. That is fine if they want to help manufacturers to get up to speed, but to use it to buy votes is another matter.
The west likes to do sexy things like democracy, human rights, lecturing others on their failures. The less sexy things like making things to sell...well, not just making things, but things that are affordable that lower the cost of living. Now the west is finding out that talk is cheap. Delivery is hard.
Aaarrrgh! It’s so frustrating watching the West fall for con men all day long. It is such a huge waste of money, money that could have been spent partnering with China and building a better world. Instead a few people get rich and everyone else gets screwed. The very existence of billionaires is a failure of society.
ОтветитьFantastic work
ОтветитьYou need to look into toilets In china now they got lot do R&D for toilets tech engineers and scientist so the toilets can test your toilet for illnesses check Your blood this how you save people life in the future
ОтветитьHere in the US, most of the citizens fight EV's and the politicians go along with them. Eventually EV's will be developed to the point where US citizens will want them but it’ll be too late for US manufacturers, we'll have no choice but to buy Chinese. American ICE vehicles will be rotting on dealership lots.
Ответить🤦🏽♂️🤦♂️🔋🇪🇺🔋🤦♂️🤦🏽♂️
ОтветитьThe so called 'friendshoring' is just more fodder to keep us all under the illusion of them having some kind of plan. I don't think they want anything to change - they make billions upon billions in China like they can't anywhere else in the world. The west's most profitable businesses are in China so take away that profit and boom goes the market.
Western consumers simply can't afford to foot the bill anymore the latest coof inflation has stretched all but the rich to their limits. And worse, the rest of the world will be buying far less expensive Chinese goods.
And so the EV market is locked. How is the US going to compete, if they lose the Chinese market they lose the biggest market in the world and Chinese automakers will fill that void instantly. If China loses the US market-nothing.
Wishing you Health, Wealth and Happiness, Harmony all the Days of your life, Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Ответитьfree shoring, re shoring, near shoring -> scam shoring, fraud shoring, lol.
ОтветитьThe Lord's blessing be with you, Kevin.
The quality of your videos are by leaps and bounds better than what mainstream media puts out, as is the content.
I do hope some of the content sinks in with the powers that be, and foster cooperation between nations to bring about a better and more peaceful world, rather than the confrontational and zero sum approach we see today.
Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours.
very informative as always , i look forward to your videos everyday ! many thanks 👍
ОтветитьEurope is a disgrace
ОтветитьI love Swedish Northvolt! Thank u for a good video as usual. Love from Gotland
ОтветитьTo save manufacturing jobs, the West must proudly readapt fossil fuel technologies. Perhaps the argument could be Co2 is good for the environment. Bless us everyone. Otherwise, we are doomed.
ОтветитьA little over a decade ago, China was in the very same position as Europe is today. China was trying to create new internal combustion engines and automatic transmissions that could compete against the best from Europe and America, who had a decades long history producing world class engines and transmissions. China ended up abandoning the effort, betting the future of the entire country on EVs, batteries, renewables, and other green tech. Within 5 years, China had made good progress with fleets of functional, practical e-taxi and e-bus service in Shenzhen and elsewhere. And then they scaled. A couple years ago, Chinese EVs reached a point of general competitiveness with ICE cars, and today, they have surpassed them for a commanding lead in technology and efficiency. Short of a 'whole of society' effort by the entire EU (and/or America), there is NO chance of competing with China. I do not see the West coming together with the funding and volumes to make this happen.
ОтветитьHe has been to all sides and now reporting from China. The end clips are just how fascinating these places are. Once there and never comes back. Happy Winter Solstice the longest night shortest day in the Northern Hemisphere conversely in the Southern Hemisphere 👍❤️🇨🇳
ОтветитьWon't it be ironic, in years to come, when these failed EU companies
sell to Chinese companies at firesale prices as part of the EU's strategy
to decouple from the US. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well said.
ОтветитьIt would have been fine if they started 10-15 years ago like China did. But they're just too far behind.
ОтветитьThe “Tonja Harding Syndrome” runs deep, some just can’t accept it, get over it, The World has and is moving on, it only gets faster from here.
ОтветитьAny UK government check for potential fraud before they ever give out money? Sure, that is going to happen!
Ответитьgood job!
