Honest questions for the Reaper / Studio One etc guys... do you outsource work to other studios when you need a better live room or monitoring situation or gear than what you can offer a client? Do you ever farm out editing to someone else on a big project? Do other studios ever send you work? If yes to any of these, what's your procedure for session interchange and how much time per project on average are you spending on that?

WOW. I don't understand the attraction to this product. I picked up Pro Tools, 'cause "Pro Tools!" several years ago. Spent 2-3 solid days with that thing. Nothing worked for me. I couldn't use any of my soft synths, VSTs, etc. Nothing. I could've upgraded Cubase, but I let this company rob me. Never again, buyer beware.

AAC (Advance Audio Codec) is lossy. Apple Lossless (ALAC) file extension is m4a.

I just updated it. Now I can’t use my Waves plugins. Everything was working just fine!

I guess I’m one of those “rare” people it seems who love pro tools and use it professionally every single day. I constantly get feedback from artists saying they didn’t know the daw could do certain things as fast or as easy as I can do them which I personally think just comes down to complete knowledge of your daw. It’s a great software along with many other great DAWs, the new features are a big help for someone like me. At the end of the day though we should just shut up and use it to make music instead of complain about the pitfalls or benefits of what we’re using. Thanks for the vid sweet water this helps me see a snapshot of the new additions.

Pro tools is a great DAW, probably the best in my opinion.

However I only use Logic- for one and only one reason: automation curves.

I think I wasted almost 1000 dollars on pro tools perpetual...no innovation at all this DAW doesn't deserve the popularity it has...cubase pro 11 kills this...heck even the cheapest version of cubase kills this.

They also fixed movie bounce that was crashing if selecting a section of the movie in the middle to send a cue for reviews. I worked with Avid on this btw.

The best Avid Pro Tools upgrade I ever made was removing it completely from my computer. Apple's Logic Pro X = Zero compatibility issues, zero OS upgrade issues, zero interface recognition issues - AND you can't beat the price. The sound library is amazing! have a perpetual license of PT 2019.6 i want to upgrade my PT to 2021.6, if a move to a year program and upgrade my PT, after that year would i be able to use PT 2021?

Want it for both iPad Pro M1 and IMac 2021 so that when I make changes on one of the devices it is on the other device too.

worst upgrade in my opinion, I get a assertion error now, every time I drag a clip down to another track.....never happened before...soon as I did...the flow hasn't been the smoothest...pro tools error codes 0x0000000000000010.....

MAJOR CAVEAT: The Avid video engine is still not available for the M1 chip. So you can't do video post production in ProTools with an M1 Mac.

Strange that Avid released Carbon just as Apple was releasing M1, and now M1 Pro and Max make Carbon even more obsolete.
