I did that once. We were pulled out of Vietnam in 1969 and paid after we made Camp Swab. I never had hard liquor before. Saturday I started drinking by myself. Monday morning I woke up in another barracks that I wasn’t supposed to be in. My left hand was bruised around the knuckles. To this day I don’t know what happened to Sunday, gone! 😳

In 1973, while walking on a sidewalk between the Peach Trees in Atlanta, I looked over and a man who looked just like Alfie, I mean, Michael Caine was walking toward me on the opposite side of the street.
