Just so you know guys, the vast majority of mega fauna went extinct after the last ice age. That's mainstream BTW. It's only really Africa that went unaffected which is why you still find large animals there, but all the mega fauna around the Americas, Europe, middle east etc. Went extinct. Us humans are one of the only mega fauna that survived as we're om the smaller side of that category so we dont need that much food and we have intellect. Imagine humans that were over 10 feet tall, the amount of food they would need to eat. They'd die off pretty quickly with the rest of the larger mega fauna. Lines up with mainstream timelime perfectly.

The Vikings weren't actually that big. It's a bit of a myth the same as they didn't have horns on their helmets. There were obviously some big guys but not a huge amount. Most were pretty average size by today's standards. Probably shorter on average actually.

As cool as it would be to belive that there could have been a race of giants I just don't think it's physically possible. The tallest confirmed person in history, Robert Wadlow, reached 8 ft 11 in. He needed leg braces and a cane, suffered from numerous health complications, and died at 22 due to an infection caused by those braces. I doubt that a race of people supposedly taller than this wouldn't run into countless health issues, on top of having to provide enough calories to keep a giant population fed.

I mean a guy who was 6’6 or taller back in that time would have been an absolute giant since most men were like 5’2 or 5’3. Like 5 heads taller than you would be unbelievable… also if there’s a race of dangerous big men I think the smaller men definitely would have banded together and killed then off since there was more of them than there would be of the “giants”… they killed them off and then made them appear fearsome in their stories to add to their own lore
