Meteor Explodes During The Geminids Meteor Shower - 2015

Al principio parecía que era una estrella fugaz pero al acercarlo sí que se ve la explosión, ¡qué pasada!

How did you guys notice?

I live on Lake Erie and had the good fortune to be out on the lake at night during the Perseid meteor shower and saw not only a exploding meteor but one split into two pieces!! The exploding one left a glow that lasted for two seconds or so. The lake is the best place to view. Absolutely no light pollution whatsoever if you get out there a few miles. If you like showers and have a boat try it. You won’t be disappointed. It was the best shower I’ve ever seen and we saw it by accident just happened to be out there. Nature’s so cool!!
