I got this spear for 39m yesterday! I'm a noob so this spear is a godsend to me. I just started playing rs again but getting more serious about progressing.

Obviously its not, it has completely useless accuracy lol.

TIL weapon poison remembers what tier of weapon it was applied with, and doesn't just scale to your current weapon's tier.

So I’m looking to upgrade my gear but I’m not sure where to start. I have duel drygores , full masterwork and blood fury. Would cinder+the spear be worth the investment? Or should I go a different route? Any help would be much appreciated

The true power of this spear is in Slayer, not Bossing.
Because during slayer you have 100% hitchance anyway, you're basically dealing with a 50m gp Noxious Scythe that can also out dps it.
I personally think they did this on purpose so people won't take it to bossing and therefore the price won't ever be as bloated in price.
This way, players looking to do efficient slayer won't be immediately discouraged when they see the best weapon for it is 400m.

I'm not a stats guy, but with the lanikea spear adding 5% proc chance, if additive, would increase it from 16.6% to 21.6% which is obvious. You saw a 35% increase to poison hits, which depending on the appropriate way to say the increase, could be 21% (5/21.6), ~25% (1-(16.6/21.6)), or ~30% (5/16.6) where each of these represent a way to express and increase. The 30% figure makes perfect sense with an additive system, since you saw a 35% increase, 30% alone would be how often and another 5-6% would be the extra damage itself.

I don't know if you figured it out yet but ECB spec and blood reaver passive proc poison. Along with cannons and armour spikes.
