Hope Joe gets well soon. But damn, what a trooper... he ended up streaming for a couple of hours.

Literally every fight I had in this zone I just asked the boss the kill themselves and they did. I had no combat for sooooo long lmao.

I might argue that one of the reasons why streams lost traction is that he killed so many characters. Like, 80% of the streams at this point is just fighting. Yes, I haven't seen these choices made. However, this is more like watching a genocide stream of Undertale instead of a pacifist, and one is a lot more boring than the other.

I think Joe’s ideas about getting a hint as to the dialogue check difficulty isn’t a terrible one. He’s right in that if you’re playing with a DM and you’re an inexperienced player they will give you warnings and inform you about shit like that. As someone who loves table top dnd he isn't wrong when he talks about how it doesn’t translate over to video game mechanics as smoothly as it ideally would, the weird resurrection rules being a good example. Then again he is on honour mode so if that feature did exist it would probably only be on easier difficulties 😂

writing this in Ernest , i understand Joe's perspective on playing the game but i do think at least partially the numbers going down might be a result of the Endless combat sessions,

i do think joe is placing a lot of stock in the meritocracy of his player agency above the exploration of storytelling details (which is perfectly valid)
but from a chat perspective , this desire to stick to your decisions amount to not much than funny moments

if you were a reader reading the Epic biography of "Waffles Wizapon" there's only so much
"and then he choose the CRAZY option and everyone accidentally got killed" you can read on repeat before getting bored
Combat is simply more important for your experience than Chat's , and most of the game now is just fights

now being productive , i don't thick reloading the save file and doing a Paladin of Devotion run and saving all the NPCs would be worth it,
my thought is using the NPC revival mod and doing a "none canon" run....then killing all of the revived NPCs after you get the quest rewards 0w0. -Twinkly Yours TwinkMaster69
