good video with great tips, I need to really use these going forward. As for what I'd use it for, well everything. Mostly I make cycling videos, so a lot of time the it would be in my bike shop with me explaining what I'm working on. Or on occasion I would be recording a race.

I love the Rode mics! I use a video micro on my Nikon but it really lacks in power. The optional settings on the video mic pro are just perfect to tailor your volume to your application. Have been planning an upgrade for a while now! Great video guys.

Hey i'm 16 (from Aus) and have just started with proper videos. and am just borrowing a microphone right now but I need to buy my own one soon but i don't have the money yet just starting buying a camera and lenses and all sorts of stuff and still being in senior high school. I am and will be videoing motocross/dirtbike races mainly (my main passion), football games and any team/ company that wants to hire me. thanks fro the oppurtunity.

Good video and great tips! Audio is so often overlooked but it changes everything.
I'd love to get my hands on this mic. My shotgun mic is crap and I intend to include more sitting and talking to the camera in my upcoming videos. It would definitely help me get better audio.
