Platform dino boxing and base tunneling are not the same bruh...
Platform Dino boxing allowing you to be enclosed while being a failure on itself is not the same as allowing a permanent structure being placed on your claimed structure location.

Both practices are exploits and needed to be patched. Dino boxing is so common nowadays that ppl forget its an exploit on itself. But it doesn't compare that you can place a structure somewhere in the world above your base and build inside it by "physics magic". Ark building logic is failed as well, you shouldn't be able to place foundations on some place, drag ceilings without support anywhere as long as 1 tiny structure is snapped to the foundation, it's completely wrong and exploitable, but since it's there from the beginning, ppl forget its a bug. Anything else that this bug abuse allows, like floating bases, floating turrets, meshing, all came from the same bugged origin of construction logic.

There's no justification to tunneling other than bad coding that needs fixing.

if players want to be protected by tunneling they'd have to play unofficial servers where it's against the rules and policed by admins.

foundation support works from above as well, this has been a thing FOREVER, if you fall prey to it its 100% your fault for not building properly

Every raid method seems cheesy when you first encounter them. Next they'll be like "omg did you know you can go past 20 mutations???? OMG no fair!!!" I do think the devs should probably fix the claim check on walls and ceilings it so it's not possible, but it's been in the game forever and I've seen it widely done since like Extinction launch ASE. As long as it's in the game, I don't think they should really call anything "illegal" and "bannable" because it relies on active enforcement which WC can't be trusted to do. Tunnel as much as your heart desires, Rota!

Do the pocket purlovia still work? I used too cryo them they were buried. And when you throw them out it still acted as if they were buried and it would insta stun players. Purlovia, tek rifle all day 😂

tunneling is not scummy or cheesing its harder to do than normal soaking and is easily countered by just shooting rockets at it or placing spam/turrrets where theyre able to place foundation support for their tunnel.
