Thanks for the info. I currently own a window cleaning business that is verified on google as serviced based. I’m planning on trying to get a google map pin to increase leads. I have purchased a mailbox at a shared office space in town and they are letting me put a business sign in the main lobby. I also have access to all the common areas for potential client meetings. I have done the Google video 2 tines. Both times it kicks it back due to service area not validated. I have included my service vans, tools, scheduling software tool, street signs, front door of shop with sign and hours, business cards, etc. Not sure what else they want. If filming can I do it from a car to shorten my video as the street intersection is up a ways from the shop?

Hi, I have an electrical business in the UK (LA Electrical & Solar) and we see customers at their homes. We also have and office (and map pin) although it's not in a great location (rural). Would changing to a service area business be better for me? I have reservations as to be seen we'd need to be in the map pack top 3. Service area business tend not to have a pin so could get lost! We were banned for using location (ex. Boca Rotan) in business name, there were also cases when Google deleted name of the city in business name automatically. That was Canada, 2023-2024. Is it really useful ranking factor? I doubt, personally.
