Yorkie I agree with the fit can matter more than the skilled player. But then the fit is 8 years older and won’t be a part of this team when they’re contending in a couple years, then the trade isn’t so even. Washington and other teams will be flipping chychrun for picks for years to come while Jensen is retired.

Shattenkirk isn’t really an offensive d man since the prime days with St Louis. He’s steady and has a good first pass. Would be a good vet partner for Klev imo

Nothing like drinking the Kool-Aid after a horrible trade. You don’t have to come up with a sell job or over analyze a trade when it’s good for your team, you just get excited. I’ll leave the delusion to the senschirp fan forum. Hopefully he comes in and is consistent, that’s about all we can hope. Agreed it wasn’t a fit for Chychrun, still a brutal trade.

Happy that they finally got an RD to solidify the top 4. As for Chychrun he was the softest player mentally and physically I have seen in Ottawa in a long time. Paying him
4.5 million to play on the wrong side also didn’t help.
