First Mass Wedding in Kiribati

Five couples took their marriage vowed at Bairiki SDA Church. The Wedding was held at Te Rurubao Primary School at Bairiki and led by Pr Teengon. The Wedding was attended by the church members, couple's families and friends.
Marriage is about recognition in the community, in church, in the government and most of all, in the eye of God. Marriage in Church and in the government is important because it encourage our couples who have already settle themselves but not legally recognized. These couples marriage was setting examples for our young people in Kiribati to follow as well. Family is united when the church is involved
