Beginners Guide to Doctor Strange | Marvel Rivals

I'm trying to main this character because I like to be a tank, my only problem is that sometimes I don't know how to move well, the idea of strange is not to spam his shield but also to poke a bit with the damage right? and if I have healers behind I can be more aggressive right? or what would be ideal? I know I should try to be in front of my team all the time but sometimes in team fights I forget a little cause the chaos of the fight.

The other thing I didn't know was the melee attack, it's complicated to click for me V to attack but I'll take it into account.

Spawn trapping a team with the portal is next level evil. Never would’ve thought of that.

Bro try flipping the portals around. You get some freaky interactions.

Summon portal, reposition it, flip the “front” of the portal so the “back” is facing you. Then when you place the other part of the portal, flip that too and see what happens. It actually does strange things…

Like if you place it above a team regularly, you’ll walk through and fall down onto the enemy team.

But if you flip the portal around….you won’t fall down onto the team, you’ll actually be climbing out of the portal from the top. You can actually stand on the rim of it and shoot down😂 you’ll know because when you look through it, it won’t be facing down above the enemy team, you’ll be looking at the ceiling above the enemy team. 😮

So really, there is a front and back of the portal. So by flipping it, the front of the portal will be on top.

You can also make a portal, reposition, flip the first one so your looking into the “back” of it, then when you place the second half of it, flip it around behind an enemy team. Basically what that does is allow you to look through your portal and see the team from the front, but the second part is seeing them from the back. You can shoot through one side and have the projectiles hit the enemy from behind😂. I’ve been playing with it to see if it hits them twice but I haven’t been able to test that (because I have no friends on it😂) butt it’s like looking into a mirror if you flip them. You can see yourself through the portal.

The Shield Hawkeye interaction is intended. Hawkeye needs "line of sight" to an enemy for the echos to appear. Shield blocks that.

If Someone who has echos goes behind cover, the echos will disappear. Because line of sight.

I wonder if dr strange portals can act like an endless pit like in the spiderman movie or act like an infinite corridor to attack from both sides by both enemies and allies

So at what point is it the best time to activate Maelstrom of Madness? Am I supposed to use it as close to 100 as possible or will it be maximum damage after you reached 100 and use it before it completely depletes to 0?

Strange is insane for solo queuing if you can get your whole team through a portal, especially one out of sight from the enemies.

So you can just use the portal to get free vision anywhere on the map and without any CD?

I don't understand, I wanna farm achiement with strange terrain ko and when I place portal enemies who walks in don't count as a kill they just suic1de. Why is that?

another way to use portal that ive thought about is by putting it right infront of a soldier turret or a hela ult so that it completely blocks off an angle of attack for them. obviously reposition the first portal somewhere they cant flank with and cant shoot team mates through.

Hulk does not get extra HP when teamed with Strange. That extra HP is his “season bonus” and is present regardless of Strange

To add onto the boost with Hulk, once MoM is charged up, you get a healing BOOST, so he has more survivalbility if your healers are keeping you up

Top 500 has more Dr Strange players than ANY other tank by ~5x. The next most used Tank in Top 500 is Magneto.

Dr Frames is crazy, locking people in spawn with portal is nuts

As a Dr Strange main, I think his portal is objectively the strongest non-ult ability in this game.

Infinite range (as far as I know), can be used to scout enemies postioning beforehand, can be used to quickly move to a location, can block enemies, can give teammates (punisher) a free window, is invisible beforehand, and can surpised enemies with team ults.

hawkeye's ult work watching the enemy, so when u shield it counts as block view, meaning everyone can hide behind strange shield for hawkeyes ult

the malestorm also gets larger with the hulk team up. it goes from 8m to 10m

You can also expedite your reload by shielding about 75% thru reloading.

Its important to mention that even if you land the ult a lot of times u wont get any kills if you are in silver/low gold bc teams in that rank have a hard time following. Also its kinda useless on open maps bc its really hard to catch all 5 of them (healers are more in backline usually) and if you wont a lot of times healers will counter with their ults so try to do it in small spaces 👍

Wow!! What a great tutorial!! This amps me to really give him another shot. I couldn't figure out why I was struggling until now. He is very squishy and not a great tank at all. However his shield is insane. I'm glad to know who his shield is weak against. Makes it easier to choose him when the time is right. Thank you!!

Of course Hawkeye can break through shields as well. Genuinely I have no idea how he got through testing.

Something I haven't seen anybody talk about yet, but I've found you can do an animation cancel with strange to get an early reload. About half-way through the reload meter all your daggers are reloaded before fully completing the animation so you can put up your shield for a quick second or melee to get to firing faster. Putting up the shield is the more efficient way but melee will still save time. Also if you see a punisher in their turret you can position a portal off the map and put the other portal halfway into the punisher turret and it'll disorient him quite the amount and usually end s you up with a kill.

I have an issue, when I try to replace my first portal, if I move it around for a little, it cancels for no reason and I lose the ability until it comes back. Is there a hidden timer on it?

there is a bug u can take advantage from Doctor Stranger, you can reload faster by clicking shield button once its 60% circle while reloading. You know it takes full circle to fully reload finally but you can dodge that timer reloading by clicking shield button and you will have it 8/8 again! use it and thank me here.

His kit is just one big gimmick (in a bad way).
Portal cd is too damn huge, and its usage is questionable at best. Like you can place it on the ground, but it will have an invisible wall, so person need to jump to get into.
If you place it normally, its too high from the ground, so no one will accidentally get in there.
If you place it for your team... well, good fkin luck — portal will disappear faster, than some one will actually use it.

His flight is plain useless, unless you're playing against melee with zero air dash. Otherwise you're an easy target. And 5 secs duration? Are you srs?

His whip is nice, but he is so squishy, once you turn your shield down, you will be dead in close range vs actual DDs.

And ultimate... good lord it sucks. It has so little aoe and so long cast time, everyone's already home when you finished. Also, your team wont have time to actually respond, cuz it's duration is that long. In your own video you barely made any damage before it expired.

Meanwhile I can take Loki or Cloak and Dagger and inflict tons of damage and heals without gimmicks like animation cancel.
