Consuming salt (rocks) is an addictive and toxic habit. Eat plenty of raw fruits and vegetables and leave the addictions alone, we don't need them. You get all you need from plants, with restricted consumption of quality meat if you really want to.
ОтветитьHow can we get the correct balance of sodium and potassium? My doctor has me on potassium.
Ответитьnot said enough. the amount of people still on low sodium diets is shocking.
Ответитьwhy would you trust someone who is reading to you...?...?
ОтветитьSo is this salt better than Celtic Sea Salt? I’ve been using the Selina brand for a long time. Just finding out about this Baja Gold Sea Salt .
Ответить"Claim: Dietary salt does not cause water retention, high blood pressure or kidney damage.

This country is like goddamned Orwellville. Lies stacked on lies stacked on lies.
wtf measurement is "a cup"? how many grams? how many liters?
ОтветитьThank you Dear Dr. Berg.
ОтветитьComing from a background of military, sports, martial arts, physical labor etc. and living in the south, the concept of TOO MUCH salt is foreign to me. You'd have to live an extremely sedentary lifestyle. I've never seen anyone come close to death from too much salt. But I've seen MANY people including myself almost die from too little salt. You sweat out so much salt that its almost incomprehensible to have too much of it unless you're just sitting in the AC all day have with T and low muscle mass pouring salt down your throat. If you have too much salt you're just lazy. Go for a 15 min walk outside and you'll get rid of a ton of it right away.
ОтветитьYou can sweat out the majority if what most people consume in a day in 1 hour of exercise. The idea of going out of your way to cut salt back in your diet seems ridiculous to me when you can just exercise a tiny bit more.
ОтветитьThe people who work with salt live longer and a study needs to be done about the BENIFITS of breathing salt Laden air.
ОтветитьIf I eat to much salt my legs and feet swell up like a tight balloon. Then when I cut out salt and the swelling goes down, I start getting leg and feet cramps.
I have just started adding potassium to see what happens.
Thanks Doc!
ОтветитьDr ‘ everything’s going to kill you ‘ Berg.
ОтветитьDr Eric Berg your lecture contradict each other in one you have said low salt may be dangerous and in This excessive salt may be dangerous
ОтветитьI'm using Celtic sea salt.
ОтветитьWhat about people with POTS who are encouraged to eat more salt? Would you still recommend taking more potassium?
ОтветитьWhat foods help to lower sodium?
ОтветитьWooooooow amazing ❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьI always use low sodium salt, which has potassium chloride as well
ОтветитьOne of the worst thing we can do for our body is eat to much salt.
ОтветитьMost Americans eat way too much sodium. Thanks for the info on Baja Gold sea salt! I’ll keep an eye out for it. ✌️
ОтветитьDR Berg !!!! Deep gratitude !
ОтветитьI just don't think that the excess salt people use is good either. I feel it's not just an imbalance in minerals, but too much salt as well as too much sugar and carbs.
ОтветитьHey Dr., my brother is telling me that salt can deteriorate the brain if you have to much. I googled it and there’s lots of article, not that I necessarily believe that because it’s possible that is what they want us to believe, but I was hoping you may able to explain that topic and wether there’s and legitimacy to it. Thanks!
ОтветитьIt's possible to have low sodium/potassium but get edemas? (I've pcos and hashimoto. Been on keto for 5 years )
ОтветитьI have a question, i easily eat 7 cups of veggies a day. Raw or salads, and I add salt but I feel like I hit a threshold of how much my body can tolerate? I can’t tell in the moment, but the next day if I’m constipated i feel like it’s because of “ too much salt” but I’m not doing anything crazy just eating some sauerkraut or feta cheese or a sprinkle of salt on my meat or salads. I feel like i get plenty of potassium, i just don’t understand why this happens?
ОтветитьFor YEARS I've pondered why in the world we would need 4700 mg of potassium if it's not possible to get that much into the diet per day. If you think you can get 4700 mg of potassium per day, just try it. You'll see that it's not possible. Supposedly beet greens have the highest amount of potassium. A cup of beet greens has only 28% of the daily allowance of potassium. So eating the food that is highest in potassium would demand more than a cup per day. In fact, you'd have to eat almost 4 cups of beet greens to get enough potassium. A food that has less than this would mean you'd have to eat much more of it. So there is no way you can convince me that ANYONE is getting that much potassium per day. It's simply not possible. So I smell a rat and I'm surprised that some of the most trusted nutritionists and Naturopaths are peddling this theory. We don't know that our ancestors got their daily allowance of potassium, but I think we can assume that unless there was some magic food that no longer exists, they were not. And mankind did not die out. So all this hoopla about potassium has some serious flaws. Until we find out the truth, I'd lay off the processed foods.
ОтветитьSalt dehydrates and crystalization and eventual reduction in mass
ОтветитьI am fasting since 2.5 weeks. I supplement with Himalayan pink salt, and although i do not reach 1 teaspoons of salt per day, i feel nauseous just when thinking about salt. However, when i take it i do not feel particularly nauseous. But when thinking „i should take my salt not“ i almost cannot do it.
Can anyone explain what is happening?
I just got 2,145 if my calculation is correct of sodium today. Also, how r we to get over 4,000+ of potassium a day? This isn't easy when ur feeding 3 ppl.
ОтветитьHow much salt and potasium ratio daily? 1000 mg pa?????
ОтветитьWhere can I buy clean high dose potassium????
Ответить❤
ОтветитьI put a heaping teaspoon in my mouth and only needed a third of a level teaspoon. Thank you for telling me how to do this!
ОтветитьEat real food at least on weekends :) Shop at your farmers markets. Buy real food. Eat real food.
ОтветитьI started adding potassium chloride to the water I drink and I can notice a huge difference in how I feel.
I used to have unexplained heart palpitations and since I started adding potassium chloride to the water I drink the heart palpitations have COMPLETELY disappeared.
I always had plenty of sodium in my diet, but I could never eat near enough fruits and vegetables to hit 4000mg of potassium a day. Adding potassium chloride to my water is an easy way to get the right amount of potassium my body needs. I’m hoping it will help with my blood pressure too which tends to be on the higher side more often than not.
I eat 500mg of egg whites in the morning. That's 800mg of sodium right off the bat.. frustrating
Ответить❤🙏🙂
ОтветитьCan it also cause heart palpitations? I have all of the too much symptoms with heart palpitations. I’ve been reading and listening to people on the carnivore diet that we need 4 to 7000 mg of sea salt. My potassium intake with supplements is 3 to 4000. What can I do fast to relieve the high blood pressure, heart palpitations, and nausea.
ОтветитьWill taking extra potassium counteract high salt intake of over 2500 mg causing those symptoms? I already take 3 to 4000 potassium.
ОтветитьDoc I eat lot of salt from my childhood but Ive had low blood pressure all my life, even during my pregnancy the blood pressure was way too low. My Gyeno somehow diagnosed high blood pressure in future during delivery gave an electrolyte drink. I did all the things I could but my baby is affected with hydronephrosis is this linked ? I feel so guilty
ОтветитьI was so tired on low salt!
Ответитьaaaargh..........I'm a salty dawg.
ОтветитьCan you tell me how much salt we need a day ?
ОтветитьDr. Berg. I've been on your health keto for 2 weeks now. I felt lightheaded and weak so I made an Electrolyte mix to mimic the LMNT drink that's out there (1000mg salt and 200mg of potassium). I feel better but am nervous about the high amounts of sodium in it. Why do you recommend a lower sodium level than some other keto advocates (given that your Electrolyte powder has 40mg of sodium? )
Ответитьi take a 50mg potassium supplement daily
ОтветитьDr berg I guess I need help in that department. I love salt only eat pink or celtic salt for 20 yrs now, but still add more salt on my food. I'm not a sweet eating person and dislike chocolate I prefer sour and some bitters. What is my problem. Thank you so much
ОтветитьWell if you're on a carnivore diet you're not going to be eating fruit or veggies to get potassium..........
Ответить
