Hi Rowan, just popping in to say that your content REALLY does help ! I have seen mistakes that I have made when I bought my first property 2 years ago thanks to you which I am fixing now. I am also in the process of starting with a property investment business/trust and your content is helping us out so much. I am just waiting for a video about the logistics and differences between starting a business and/or a trust which is still a cloudy subject for myself.

ОтветитьGreat content. Im looking at rezoning to either multilet. The property i ha e recently purchased is an oldey with a huge plot at the back and the neighbor is also looking to sell. He is widowed and is considering moving to a retirement home. That house also has a plot for a backyard (i mean the yards are huge)
My thought process is that if i can successfully acquire the house next door, I can consolidate the two properties. Both properties are currently res1.
The area has potential to convert/ rezone. The neighbor to the left had rezoned to a commercial and the property is used as storage for a tile company. The second property to my right (property right to my neighbor) is a multilet with a lot of rooms at the back and next to that property they are using the backyard as an vehicle repair workshop. The erfs are huge in the area. The house diagonally from my property is also a multilet.
My question at the moment is trying to find out if want to build a double storey of bachelors flats can i get away with applying for consent use instead of going the whole rezoning journey.
